About to buy Beam (Gen 2) - question when using LG C1 + PS5 + Xbox Series X

I would be using the Beam (Gen 2) for Apple TV 4K 2021, PS5, Xbox Series X & Switch. Appreciate any help with these questions:

On the LG C1, aside from enabling eARC Support

  1. should Digital Sound Output be set to: PCM, Auto or Pass Through?
  2. should HDMI Input Audio Format be set to: Bitstream or PCM?

On the PS5

  1. should HDMI Device Type be set to: TV, AV Amplifier or Sound Bar?
  2. should Audio Format (Priority) be set to: Linear PCM, Dolby or DTS?

On the Xbox Series X,

  • should HDMI Audio be set to 7.1 uncompressed or Dolby Atmos for home theater?
  • should Allow passthrough be enabled under additional options?

--

Lastly, I read there was an issue with the LG CX where the following would happen. On the LG CX, when the Digital Sound Output is set to,

  • Pass Through → incorrect 7.1 ch signal (causing missing channels)
  • Auto → correct 5.1 ch signal

Does this issue persist and does it also affect the LG C1 or only the LG CX?

Thanks for your help!

On the LG C1, aside from enabling eARC Support,

  1. should Digital Sound Output be set to: PCM, Auto or Pass Through?
  2. should HDMI Input Audio Format be set to: Bitstream or PCM?

Digital Sound Output should be set to Pass Through or Auto. HDMI Input Audio Format should be set to Bitstream.

On the PS5

  1. should HDMI Device Type be set to: TV, AV Amplifier or Sound Bar?
  2. should Audio Format (Priority) be set to: Linear PCM, Dolby or DTS?

HDMI Device Type should be set to AV Amplifier. Audio Format (Priority) should be set to Linear PCM for gaming or when watching a DTS-encoded Blu-ray disc. If you prefer lossy DTS Digital Surround audio from DTS discs, change this setting to DTS. When streaming content from the PS5 or watching a Dolby TrueHD/Dolby Atmos encoded Blu-ray disc, change this setting to Dolby.

When watching Blu-ray discs, there is another audio setting that must be adjusted when you start the disc. Tap the Options button on the controller, select the “…” and change the Audio Format setting to Bitstream for Dolby-encoded discs. Change this setting to Linear PCM for Multichannel PCM audio from DTS-encoded discs. Change this setting to Bitstream for DTS Digital Surround audio from DTS-encoded discs.

On the Xbox Series X,

  • should HDMI Audio be set to 7.1 uncompressed or Dolby Atmos for home theater?
  • should Allow passthrough be enabled under additional options?

HDMI Audio should be set to 5.1 uncompressed for non-Dolby Atmos content and gaming. Change the setting to Dolby Atmos for home theater for all Dolby Atmos content. Enable Allow passthrough.

As far as I know, this issue still persists with the C1 and CX.
