Have TV setup with Denon AVR 3700 receiver which has Klipsch speakers also have Sonos setup though out rest of the house. Want to be able to play sound from TV setup to Sonos. Have a Sonos Port that is setup to play sound through Denon to Klipsch. Essentially trying to do the opposite. Play whatever receiver is pushing to Klipsch speakers to Sonos setup. Do I use the line-in ports on Sonos Port? Then which port on the back of Denon do I use. Speaker ports on the bottom left in white are all used.
Hi. I’ve had a Sonos Connect for about 4 years and have never managed to make it do what I bought it for, which is to play my hifi separates (turntable, CD player and cassette player) through the Sonos speakers - so I’m trying to crack this finally. I was told this would work when I bought this, but have never managed to make it work. Looking at web pages about this, everything focuses on enabling you to play streaming services accessed via the Sonos app, through the Connect onto hifi speakers, whereas what I want to do is the opposite way round. Things I read suggest this is possible but don’t ever explain how! So … is it possible to do this, and if so, can I connect them all into the Connect via my existing hifi amp (Yamaha A-S301)? When I try connecting everything, I can’t make anything happen. Part of the problem is I don’t understand how it helps to have the Sonos Connect listed as one of the parts of the overall Sonos system, since somehow what I need to happen is for the S
So to be clear... if I have a sonos arc and sub in the living room, but have a sonos amp with speakers in the back yard, I can listen to them as a single group, or use separate? As in the arc playing a movie and out back playing spotify. Or watch a different TV source on each, while being able to do this all within the same app login? Hopefully I am making my point lol.
I wounder if this configuration could work for a simple karaoke system.TV hdm arc => karoke mixer with hdmi arc in and out (mixer will mix the audio from the tv with audio from mic and send it to the arc) => sonos archttps://www.amazon.de/-/en/gp/product/B08R768H7M/ref=sw_img_1?smid=A3JTW74NYUO5NP&psc=1 Will this work?
Hi friends, I can’t get the Dolby Atmos effect but not sure it is a hardware problem caused by Sonos or Apple TV 4K, or the software problem cased by the Infuse Pro 7 app on tvOS. So, just share my situations here to see if anyone else facing the same problems with me. DevicesAll the latest models of Sonos & Apple with the latest firmware.Sonos ARC * 1Play 5 *2Apple TV 4K - 2021 versionPlayer: Infuse Pro 7Film source: Blu-ray Images on NAS (Synology DS920+) ProblemSound strange if Apple TV 4K Sound Effect is setup to Dolby Atmos and use Infuse Pro 7 to play the Blu-ray image on the NAS. (Or other video file with audio like AC3 and etc.) Problems: The DIALOGUE can NOT be heard; Sound is strange and the volume is low. The problems occurs in the Apple TV 4K audio is connected through HDMI eARC. (NO problem through AirPlay. And we know that Dolby Atmos can not play through AirPlay) If we turn off the Dolby Atmos in Apple TV 4K, the audio format change to Dolby Digital 5.1, everything i
I'm considering music services and Qobuz popped up. I primarily listen to 60s to 90s pop, with a bit of alternative tossed in. Questions: 1. How extensive is the pop and alternative selections?2. How compatible is the Quboz app with Sonos systems?3. Can Quboz music be downloaded to a phone for offline listening in a car?4. Is the Qobuz app or the Sonos app used to control music on the Sonos speakers?5. Are voice commands available with Quboz and Sonos?6. Overall, what's your opinion of the service?
I’m expecting my LG Gallery OLED next week. I’ll be mounting it on the wall, as well as my Sonos Arc under it on the wall.If you’re familiar with the Gallery line of TVs, they have a custom wall bracket as well as channels to run the cables behind the TV that allow it to be mounted flush against the wall, so that it literally has a depth of 1 inch or so, looking like a painting on the wall. Similar to the Samsung Frame.I know Sonos recommends that the Arc be mounted 5.5 inches or more below a TV so the sound from the upward firing speakers is not impeded. However, I’d like to mount mine more like 3-4 inches below the TV.I can’t imagine that a TV with 1 inch depth could block the upward firing speakers right?Seems like I should be fine. Agreed? Thanks for any opinions.
Hi,Had a Beam connected for about 1 year with no issues, always turn the TV off with the remote ( Sony Bravia)On turning it on this morning I didn't have any volume, on checking noticed it was set at zero so just turned it up, thinking nothing of it, upon turning the TV on this evening the same thing happened, I only have the Beam connected and that's via HDMI Arc.Also no Alexa.Any ideas ?Thanks.
I am considering a Roam for my office set-up and would prefer to position it vertically on my desk - my concern is that it doesn’t have the rubber ‘feet’ on the end, in the same way as it has on it’s side, and may cause it to vibrate on the desk surface. Does anyone have any experience with this type of set-up? Thanks D
We have a new Sonos Beam (Gen 2) hooked up to our Samsung Smart TV. It works fine, but it makes a noise that sounds like a DVD player when a disc loads, kind if that spinning, wind-up sound. This happens when nothing is even playing (TV or music), as well as when when Pandora or my music library is changing songs. Is that normal? It’s kind of bothersome. Something I’ve thought about is that I THINK this happens mainly when I’m casting from my laptop to the TV. Also when I’m playing my music library, which actually comes from my laptop. Is that possible, and if so, is that to be expected?
I’d like to integrate my new bluetooth enabled turntable into my Sonos sound system-- which consists of two Sonos 1’s, the Beam, and the Sub (gen 3). What is the easiest and and least expensive way to do that? I cannot drop $400 on another Sonos device at this time. I bought a refurbished Sony SRS-XB23 wireless speaker, hoping to pair it which my turntable (which it does) and then with the rest of my system, but I think the Sony is not compatible, right?
Hi, I have two questions regarding my Sonos Roam which I hope somebody can help me with. Can I place my Sonos Roam in the bathroom? Will it be destroyed due to steam/moist from shower? Can I wirelessly charge my Sonos Roam on an ordinary QI charger (like what I use for my iPhone) or do I have to buy the special Sonos charger if I want it wirelesslybr, Alexander
Hi,As a new customer looking at my first purchase, just trying to decide on which option of the following.1.Arcor2.Beam Gen 2 + One SLx2.I have listened to the beam and the arc in the shop and can tell the difference but was unable to listen to 2xOne SL speakers with the beam to make a comparison.
Hey folks, ex-Sonos engineer here! I love what you've been doing to improve the UX after changing the router password or the router itself. Great work! I don't need to carry an Ethernet cable when I travel with Sonos anymore. My feedback: I have many Soni, and usually travel with one or two. When I get to my destination, I go to Manage Networks. In the "Select a product to change its network settings." screen, it took me quite a while to figure out why it was asking about my Beam (see pic) which was at home, rather than either device I had with me. I was super-frustrated for an embarrassing amount of time, until I realized it was a carousel of all my devices, and I could swipe to the one I wanted. The thin grey line with an black indicator at the bottom isn't enough of an affordance. Please make it more obvious that there's stuff to the right! Thanks,Seth
Hello, I’m quite new and don’t know much about speakers and matching impedances and whatnot.Just purchased a Sonos amp, 2 Kefs Ci200qs, and plan to buy a pair of 8ohms outdoor speakers as well.My idea/question is as follow:Can I connect the 4 speakers to 4 speaker wall plate, and, using banana plugs from the wire that comes from the AMP disconnect the pair I do not want to use at the time? I wouldn’t change the wiring on the back of the Amp, that would stay in parallel, but just disconnect from the wall plate when I just want 1 single pair to play? Would that work? When 1 pair disconnected will the impedance go back to 8ohms?Thank you for the help!
Hi - really hoping to get some help with setting up a Port as I’ve hit a brick wall…I have an existing ‘Home Theatre’ setup that includes an Arc and 2 x One SL’s acting as rears - more than happy with this as sound quality is great and the wife can cope with the small footprint!A few months ago I decided to finally pursue a long held passion for vinyl so following some research purchased a Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB and a Port - expensive option but I don’t really have the space for a Five and thought the Port would keep things tidy.I had assumed that I would be able to configure the Port to play the audio from the turntable (through the same two One SL’s) but for the life of me I cannot, despite many attempts and lots of internet research, workout how to connect the One SL’s to the Port. I’ve been able to get the Port setup okay and it appears under Products in the app but I cannot see any option to associate it with the One SL’s.Am I missing something obvious here or have I made an expensi
I have a Bose Lifestyle 35 with outdoor speakers and I would like to replace it with a Sonos system. I understand that Sonos doesn’t have bundles and has mix and match, but I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. It looks like the Arc soundbar is what I will be getting, but other than that I haven’t the foggiest of what else. I’ll have the home theater in one room which I would surround sound, while in another room I would like speakers for music as well as outdoor speakers for music. My current outdoor speaker wires are not very good and would either replace them or have wireless outdoor speakers. I’d like to be able to play music via Alexa and Apple Music.
