Doesn’t work for me.  I have a Sonos One, and after the update I could n o longer “see” either my Sonos One or the Sonos Beam with my TV.  After resetting both devices and setting up a new system under a different email, I got the Beam to connect.  However, when I attempt to add the One, it connects via a temporary Wi-Fi connection made by the Sonos, says it’s setting up the One, but then says the connection fails.  It will try one more time via the temp Wi-Fi, fail again, and then ask to set it up by connecting to the router with a cable, which fails as well.  I’ve reset the router twice, reset the One several times, always with the same result.  Anyone else experience this?  Have a fix?

Exactly the same issue here, I have 2 x Sonos Play 1 and a Sonos Soundbar.
last night I had to change my wifi password due to an ongoing security risk.

sonos could have made things easier by having a prompt asking for an updated password. Instead everything is faded in terms of managing the settings.

i have been forced to factory reset devices.

at one point the temporary connection would fail because it seemed previous attempts had added them to my network previously, so I when into my router and kicked them out of the network.

Have gone through the same installation process at least 5 times each to no avail.
they all get to the added but may not appear so pull out the power etc, tried the above tips but nothing is helping.

Sonos really know how to balls this whole this up, time and time again. So much for a better user experience!

This worked for me

Go to Account in the Sonos app and sign out. Then turn off the Wi-Fi on your phone. Then turn Wi-Fi back on. Go to Sonos app and go to account and sign in. Then click Gears. Click on the speaker and follow the prompts.

That definitely worked for me! Thanks. Boy, Sonos really botched this upgrade, it would seem.

Genius!  You may have saved thousands of lives!

I had the same issue with a new One SL for three days. I even deleted and reinstalled the app. But when I followed these instructions, it added my speaker to my account! Thanks for posting!

Trying from the iPad app (also updated version) worked the first time for me with regard to the account linking issue

I had a similar issue with a sub gen 3 yesterday, everything setup, but it would fail to link to the account, now today, trying to add a beam, exactly the same issue. The sub eventually worked, so hoping the beam will with a few tries

Same problem here!
