My Sonos system is up to date.  I play albums from Apple music.  I pause the music around 5 PM and the next morning when I go to restart play, the Sonos app shows music is playing my phone and nothing is coming out.  I unplug one of the speakers, the system loses the album I was playing and I have to regroup the dining and living room speakers again.  Once this is done, sound comes out.  Is there a permanent fix to this problem?

It may be worth setting allocated ip addresses for your Sonos devices.

As @nik9669a suggested, also please look at my post:

Thank you both but the Sonos speakers are already on static IPs.  So that is not the problem.

As I was reading your post my music stopped again but this time clicking on the next song in the album got it working again.

Are you using a mesh network by any chance? I had issues with auto channel changing on my Google mesh network and got rid of it as a result.

I've seen this with Amazon, changing to another stream and back was the only cure I found.

Happened with static IPs and a wired connection. Just not often enough to deal with a support call.
