This is driving me nuts! Uni Password protected wifi and setting up Play:1

This is driving me insane because I had this working but I cannot remember how aha, I set up my Play 1 with the University WiFi effectively through my laptop with an Ethernet cable, It worked to the extent that I was actually able to stream Spotify through the internet and out of the Sonos. Pretty Cool huh?
Long story short I was sharing my Wifi from my laptop and set up my own mini network with my Sonos and my Laptop, Over night however WINDOWS 10 decide to screw me over and update on its own, Now the IP has been wiped from the network and I cant get it going again, Well I can but only with local music on my laptop and I really miss my ability to have Spotify through the Sonos, I could even unplug the Sonos and move the Sonos and laptop around the flat without disturbing everything, It now I need to set it up again and I don't know how, (I was trial and erroring before).
If anyone else has been able to do this please help a brother out and pass on some steps it would be greatly appreciated!
Much Love

You should find the answer towards the bottom of this page on how to create a wifi hotspot in Windows 10 but looking at your post it sounds like that is working fine already, but just check the setting ...

But make sure that Spotify is working from your laptop first of all, just in case your university have suddenly decided to block the streaming music service across its LAN.

I assume the turning on of the WiFi hotspot in windows 10 will automatically route any devices connected out through its Ethernet port connection... but it maybe a case you have to share your Ethernet connection (internet connection sharing)... which i presume will be available by clicking on the network adapter in the network sharing centre.

If Spotify works fine directly from the laptop, I can’t see why things shouldn’t work once they are connected to your laptops WiFi hotspot.

Many Thanks for this,
I didn't follow it to the letter but turning on the hotspot and working around the issue that way really did work, I now have spotify working again and am a very happy man!
