Soundbar & Connect Amp as front L+R

We are trying to set up our new Playbar with our Connect:AMP.

Currently the set up is:
TV—digital audio(fibre)—>Soundbar
Soundbar—Ethernet(cat5)—>Router
Connect:AMP—Ethernet(cat5)—>Soundbar

The L+R channel of the Connect:AMP are defaulting to surround sounds when we play tv through Foxtel which is hooked up straight to the tv with HDMI.

We just want them to be normal front L+R speakers.
When we stream audio through the Sonos app it plays as we want (not surround sound).

Thanks in advanced for any help! 🙂

The Sonos system doesn’t support your desired result. The PLAYBAR is always the front 3 speakers, Left, Center, and Right. It does not have the capability to send out an additional Left and Right signal, only a surround signal.

You could conceivably set up the stereo pair as a separate room, and then group it with the PLAYBAR, but you’d be getting just a stereo signal, not quite the same as the 5.1 left and right, and it might be slightly delayed, too.
