Looking to upgrade sound system in the living room... What's the best way to setup Sonos Amp + Playbar/sub for 3.1?
This is what I'm thinking....
- Two existing speakers in the rear will go into the Amp
- TV HDMI Arc into AMP
- AMP & Playbar will work wirelessly via Sonos Bridge

Would this work? :?

What you are describing is a 5.1 setup, the Playbar is L/C/R (3) in the front, the Amp powering the L/R Surrounds in the back (2) and the Sub (.1). The rears would be defined as surrounds, so the HDMI-ARC on the Amp would not be used. You would connect the Playbar to the TV via optical.

Note, this will not give you any built-in voice control or Airplay 2. For that, you would swap the Playbar for the Beam.

Thanks! So in that case, Connect: AMP might be a better option?
Possibly. The Connect:Amp needs to be connected to the Playbar via Ethernet. If you can do that easily, it will save you a few $$. But it is inconvenient.
