I went on vacation and now I can’t reconnect to my Sonos system. Moment of the usual set up routines work. Is this system trash now?

I wouldn't think so.

What did you try as the "usual setup routines"?

Generally speaking, doing a reset is harmful to the settings that you had on the speakers before hand.

Can you be more specific about what speakers you have, how they are connected to your LAN, and what device you have the controller on. What happens when you try to connect? Where are you in the process?

If push comes to shove, you can always do that factory reset, but it's usually the last resort, as it erases any and all information you had stored on the speakers. Which really is important, there's no data stored on your controller, it's pretty much all on the speaker in the memory of the computer that is in each speaker.
