I use a Nightgear router, a R6400, although in a ‘wired’ configuration with a BOOST for the majority of my system, but my Roam connects to the WiFi, without any issue. Not enough information in your post to really guess as to what might be going on, I’d recommend that you call Sonos Support directly to discuss it.
When you speak directly to the phone folks, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and network.
