I currently have an Arc and Sub 3 together as I system. I know it will not do surround sound but I have a pair of Move’s coming. I think this will be a good little casual listening system for my upstairs. My question is how do I add the two new Move’s? I believe that I add each one as a different room and then I pair the two Moves. I also was wondering about syncronizing volume between the three parts of the system, Sub, Arc and Moves. Is this at all automated so that they are balanced with one another or do I just adjust each volume independently by ear until I have the balance to my liking? Thanks very much for your help. Cheers.
I’m super frustrated. I have 4 Sonos Connect: Amps all direct connected to my Nighthawk MR60. This setup has worked for well over a year since I moved to the nighthawk without any issues. In the last 5 or 6 weeks I started getting a message “Unable to play… the connection to… was lost” Doesn’t matter if it’s Apple Music or Sirius or anything. I called Sonos, we did some troubleshooting, and they were unable to even see my hardware online. So what changed? I got a new ISP, which only meant a new modem within the network of my home. Yes, I’ve rebooted every single device, more than once. Tonight I decided to wipe my router and set it up from scratch. No change. I reinstalled the Sonos App and tried to start over from scratch. The App when trying to connect to the “new” network see’s the Network, asks me for a password, and then tells me the password is wrong. Like, cmon, I know the password isn’t wrong. I don’t know what else to do. Has anyone successfully gotten through something simila
I recently purchase the following:ArcSub Gen 32 x One SL speakersI have set up the system as per instructions BUT I am slightly confused with regard to a stereo pair and/or surround speaker set up. Which would be the best listening experience. The App doesn’t seem to show that the 2 x One SL speakers are a stereo pair and I can’t seem to be able to change or set up. Any ideas ?
Hi all, Long time user, occasional poster. I'm toying with the idea of installing some Sonos speakers in the bar/workshop area at the bottom of my garden (roughly 15m from my house, and it seems heavily resistant to any wireless signals).I currently have a relatively large Sonos set-up IN the house running on Sonosnet with a boost plugged into my router. I have tried just putting a speaker in the bar and hoping for the best, but alas, it is a no go. My question is....if I were to run an ethernet cable from my router in the house to a network switch in the bar, then subsequently hardwire those speakers, would it work?? I get there's STP implications so the switch would need to support that, but beyond that is what I suggest feasible? I've done some searching on here, but nothing seems to answer my question specifically. Thanks in advance, all!!
Hi everyone,I am attempting to connect my Sonos Arc Surround sound to a Denon AVR-S960H with my video source being a Sony projector VPLVW715ES. My video source is a chrome cast and that is working fine through the receiver. I have turned Arc on but Sonos is not finding it once connected and I try to set it up in the App. Do I need the Sonos Port to make this work? Is there a setting I am missing?Thank you for your help!
I thank that something is not ok with my setup. so when im using native Netflix app from my tv everything is perfect (i got dolby dogital 2.0 oraz 5.1 ) When there is stereo (dolby digital 2.0 oraz stereo pcm) i can hear some sounds from satelites (symfonisks) but when im watching same movie (that is not 5.1 but stereo only) VIA netlix (Firestik) at the app is always (dolby digital 5.1) and i cant hear any sound from satelites everything is perfect with movies that have 5.1 (working fine via both Netflix apps) btw. At Fire stick settings im using dolby dogital (not best ) couse with best firestick is using dd+ that my panasonic cant use via hdmi arc and i was Geting only stereo pcm (with i could hear some sound via satelites) just wondering if my setup is ok…
been trying to setup my first sonos device (Beam Gen 2) on the S2 app on my Android 11 phone.S2 detects Beam but then claims it cant detect the Beam via NFC. checked on my phone settings that NFC is enabled and the app has full permissions.switched to ethernet, no luck. its definitelt not the cable or the port because my LG TV connects perfectly fine. need help before i throw the towel and return the device for something else.
All my Sonos devices but a Play1 are in storage since we are moving.I initially connected the Play1 wireless at the airbnb we were at to the wireless network just fine, but it was intermittent due to a weak signal so tried to connect to the other available network but could not.I got a wireless extender for a stronger signal, but I am still unable to move it to another primary wireless network or to an extended wireless network, or even to the original wireless network.I can run fine only if I plug the Play1 into the enet port on the wireless extender. If I use Sonos2 to ‘Manage Networks/Update Networks’ and say YES when asked to add a trusted network, then hit ‘Find System’ I am prompted again to make sure all products are powered on and to ‘Find System’ again, but nothing is ever found. Is there any other way to change the old wireless network to a new wireless network? Even if I set the S2 app to the old wireless network it no longer works. Since I only have the one Play1 at present,
Hello thereI would like to purchase a Sonos Arc but I wanted to check that it will work well with beamed ceilings. I have a small living room with a 7 foot ceiling that has beams. In terms of set up they would be running from fireplace to back wall. The Arc would be above the fireplace. Any advice would be much appreciated.
I recently purchased my first Sonos product, the Arc. My network is Meraki MX64 based with a PoE MS120-8lp switch and a MR36 AP. The set up instructions seemed simple enough but I could not get my iPad and Arc to connect to complete the install. With help from Sonos support and Meraki support, they connected right away. Here is the combined list of the instructions from Sonos and Meraki that brought it all together:Log in to the Meraki router. Open the Wireless tab. Select Firewall & traffic shaping. Under Layer 2 LAN Isolation, change the setting to Disabled Under Layer 3 Firewall Rules, change the setting for Local LAN to Allow. Under the SSID Configuration, change the setting Addressing and Traffic Client IP Assignment to Bridge modeI hope this helps anyone with a Meraki network who wants to get the Sonos working smoothly. I currently have updated to the latest Sonos App and run the update for the Sonos Roam.I am following the factory steps to add to the system and currently have a Sonos Roam in the system but for whatever reason I am able to add the Sonos Roam. It tells me to power down the roam and restart. Upon restart the Sonos Roam shows as offline in the app even after several restarts. I tried factory reset and to re-add a couple times and still no progress.
The Beam is connected to my HD Samsung smart TV and Sky box etc and of course with no jack the Sonos will not connect directly to headphones. Is there an adapter/conversion unit that will enable me to fit in and then make use of the headphones, please? I am not at all technical and in my 80’s so any thoughts will be much appreciated. I thought that I had seen a suitable converter?
Hi, I have a play:5 in the kitchen, a IKEA Symphonic in the hallway and one in the bedroom. In the living room I have a surround system with a Arc and 2 One SL.When I play music, it seems like I cannot use the surround system speaker (arc + 2 One)..Is that by default, just as they show up in a group as TV?Really sad if I cannot use the One speakers when playing music..
Hi there, I recently purchased a Sonos One for my girlfriend as she had a rubbish TV (without Bluetooth) and terrible sound. however, it is not working well as a solution as I have to connect the sonos to the Apple TV via BT, and it is not a permanent connection, meaning that I have to select it as the audio source on the Apple TV everytime and controlling the volume with the ATV remote only works once the airplay connection is established. how can I get a permanent/seemless experience without having to buy her a BT tv?
Hello everyone, so I have a question, we have Sonos amps setup around our house, and we recently got an Orbi mesh system to put throughout our house, and I’m wondering if there’s anyway I can setup the amps to work on the new network while still being able to do it via Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi, it’s currently setup to work via Ethernet but it only works when I’m connected to my main Wi-Fi, I was wondering if there way anyway i would be able to forward them or something, the Sonos amps are plugged into a switch and the switch is plugged into the main router
I have a Play 5: Gen 1 and two Play 1’s. Just bought two Roams which are set up on the S2 app. S2 app doesn’t find any other speakers on system. S1 app finds the Play 5 fine but says the Play 1s are incompatible. When I attempt to “fix” the incompatibility the app says to download S1???The three speakers were working fine on the S1 app before I downloaded S2.
I only get Stereo PCM with a Hisense 65u8gI currently have 2 symphsonik and a Beam gen 2.My roku ultra gets dolby atmos on a different input so I do think there’s something fishy with the PS5 not detecting the EDID setup? What I am expecting is Multichannel PCM via eARC.Any hints guys on how to get multichannel PCM going via eARC?
I’ve been locked out of my Sonos device since trying unsuccessfully to update settings (change the room name associated with my speaker). The app advised an update required, I tried (again) unsuccessfully to install it. After some hours with Sonos Support and speaking with BT, my ISP I now await a swap out replacement.Question I was unable to get a satisfactory answer to was this. Does the Sonos device need port forwarding settings in place in the firewall menu? In the BT hub settings, it describes port forwarding as necessary for gaming controllers to access the internet. I am able to connect the Sonos locally with my iPad, the Sonos shows up in the BT Smart Hub 7 screen, but it seems unable to connect to the internet and therefore my account. Please assume I’ve tried each and every fix for this issue. Thanks for any assistance.
