Hello,I have Sonos Beam in my kitchen. Now I have a plan to mount two Sonos One as two rears so to get surround affect for my kitchen TV. The problem is that two places where I can mount two Sonos One are at different distance and different angles from a listener. One Sonos One will be 1m. far behind from a listener. The other Sonos One will be 3m far and aside from a listener. Is it ok? True play will be able to set it up correctly?
I have weird issue. I’ve purchased three Sonos One’s SL to create a new system at the office. All units work and play music individually. They also play with one other unit in any combination. A-B, B-C, A-C, etc.. But when I try to play all three - A-B-C at the same time, the system doesn’t add’s the third and evenually drops one of the working units. So only one Sonos plays music. I’ve tried resettig the units to factory reset, etc.. Plug and unplug. Nothing works. Just trying to play the same music on all three Sonos at the same time. Thoughts?
I want to connect a CD jukebox to play throughout my home. I currently have (second-get) Sonos amp, two pairs of “Fives,” a Beam connected to two Fives, a Beam connected to two Play-Ones, two freestanding Play Ones, and another Sound Bar. A sonos Amp, which serves as the internet input for the whole system, plays out to two Klipsch speakers. Can i connect a CD jukebox to the amp and then play through the entire house? Many thanks.
Sonos Roam - Alexa Voice Assistant doesn't recognize smart devices. I saw that the Alexa services were down until yesterday but the status shows that it is back up and it is still not working. I am quite disappointed with the Sonos Roam; I was very excited to get my first Sonos product. However, the setup has been so tedious, so many issues with making the device just play some music from my phone. And, the secondary reason why I bought this product was because it would be Alexa-enabled, even that doesn’t work. Honestly, if it doesn’t work soon, I plan to return this product.
My Sonos Beam recently dropped out of my app. I reset the device and went through the process of adding it back to the app.I got to the point where I got the message “Your Beam has been added, but may not appear in the System tab. If so, unplug the power cord and plug it back in to finish set-up from the system tab”Indeed the Beam did not appear, and also did not appear if I switched the power off and on. Any clues on how to resolve this?
Hello, I've recently taken advantage of the discount and updated my Sonos 5 to a Playbar. So I now have a Sonos 1 and a Playbar running on S2. I thought I could stick the 5 in my daughter's room so she could listen to music, effectively on a spearate network to the 1 and the Playbar. I've set the 5 up and she can use radio on it, but try as I might I can't get Spotify to connect to the 5 like it is on the 1 and Playbar. Is it possible to do so? Thanks all.
I am outfitting my catamaran. It is a new Leopard 45 Cat, with a front porch, salon, aft salon, and upper lounge/helmstation. It also has 4 bedrooms but we are only wiring three. 4 zones will be powered by AMP and 3 with BEAM soundbars. The boat has plenty of solar and 12V battery storage but I don’t want to run the 5000w inverter all the time. I have a whole boat WiFi system with an NAS that stores music and video. Also an AppleTV for each TV. I want to convert everything to 12V. I know it will void the warranty. Has anyone converted an AMP or a BEAM to 12v input or have the requirements in order to do so? I believe they convert the 110V AC to a DC input in the power supply. I’m not an electrical guy so will have to take what is shared to a local guy I know who really gets this stuff. Alternatively maybe I should put in a second inverter and a house 200amp lithium battery dedicated to the entertainment system? Connecting an Alternator to the 2nd system might be challengin
I’m looking at expanding my Sonos system, with either a Roam or a Move speaker.I don’t want to hook up to Google or Apple, and want something that either doesn’t have a microphone or has the ability to disconnect or turn it off if it has one. Will either of these 2 speakers fit the bill? Also, it seem from the responses to my previous question, that I should be able to set this up independently from my other speakers. I’d like to be able to use this in the garage without inadvertently blasting the other speakers in the family room, so I’d prefer to set this up on its own system.
We have had three Sonos products on one system but recently the Sonos One SL disappeared from the system for no apparent reason. We have tried to re-add it to the system by resetting the factory settings. The app says it recognizes the product and has added it to our system; it also says that the product may not appear initially and, if so, to un-plug the product then turn it back on again to complete set up. I have done that several times but the product is still not appearing on the system with the other products. I have also rebooted my wi-fi but that has made no difference. What can I do?
New owner here, and my setup was for a surround sound. I have Arc, 2 SP one, and a sub 3.First, I added speakers to two different rooms- Both named the same, but you can’t link speakers that way. Found out the Arc is the master- Need to hook up that one 1st and then tag other speakers to it. I had opened one SP speaker to test it out as my basement, where entertainment room is going, that was still under construction. By the time I added others, I didn’t do so in proper order- Then I had a power failure and tripped AMP- when speakers came back up, they didn't recognize each other even though they were under the same app room. The issue I faced was it looked like some grabbed onto my WIFi on the 5 and others on 2.5 wifi. -No communication between the two, even under the same wifi. I called and was told that was my issue by diagnostics. He wanted me to restart router- turn off all satellites, and then would add system back on to just the 2.5 or 5 while the other one was turned off- While
I have an old 2016 Sony LCD that I will be attaching my Arc to. My tv doesn't have an eArc but it does have an Arc hdmi port. Would there be any difference in quality hooking the Arc using the optical adapter as compared to hooking it up via the Arc hdmi? I would like to use that last hdmi for an Xbox.
I purchased my 1st Sonos product today (play 1) and have it set up except I can’t get my iTunes account added to the Music Library. It is asking for my “computer name” and I only use my iPhone because my laptop is outdated. Is this possible to set up this way? And If I have to use my laptop, how do I find the computer name? Thanks in advance for any help! I am not very computer savvy!
Having trouble hooking up through your Google mesh system. Do yourself a favor and just buy the boost. Several calls to customer support and almost a week of back and forth. Unable to connect or only one speaker would hookup. Losing connection and having to add the speaker to the app again was getting old. I finally decided to just get the boost. Customer service did not recommend this or even mention it once. So I received it today and after 10 minutes I’m hooked up to my internet and after some updates to the system everything is up and running. The whole thing took about 30 minutes total.
Hello I currently have a 5.0 sonos system consisting of a playbar and 2 play:1 surround sound systems for the home cinema and a denon df107 system for the music. My plan is to replace all that with the new generation sonos amp associated with two bookshelf speakers that have yet to be defined, connected via HDMI to the TV. I have several questions about this: - is it relevant to replace a playbar, for which I am disappointed with the stereo spatialization, by a sonos amp? - what about the surround effect generated by the 2 play:1 associated with the amp? Are the effects well managed? Is there a degradation at this level compared to the playbar?
I recently purchased a boost because I noticed my Sonos started to get a little spotty. I have a beam, 4 One SL’s and a Port connected right now, over a 3600 sqft house. I am running CAT6 throughout the house - basement, main floor - upper floor. I am going to add an Arc, Sub & two more One SL’s when the Arc is back in stock. I’ve got an Eero Pro Gateway connected directly in the router and then one Eero Pro connected to an ethernet wall port in the family room in the basement, and another Eero Pro connected to an ethernet wall port on the upper floor. What’s the best location for the Boost? Should I just plug it into one of the ethernet wall ports, into one of the Eero Pro’s, or into the modem? I want to make sure i stop the hiccups in connection now, and can easily add the Arc, sub & 2 One SL’s. Any advice appreciated
I’ve just bought the Sonos Surround Set.I have to wait a few weeks for the Arc and the Sub, but the Sonos One speakers came today. While I wait for the Arc, what can I do with the Sonos Ones? Can I connect them to my TV (Sony Bravia) or my soundbar (Sony)? Can I connect them to my phone (iPhone)?
I think I have this correct but the plasterers are coming tomorrow to plaster the ceiling so I though I would check.Having an extension built where I will have a TV on the wall, ceiling speakers as the rears and an Arc as the front, this will be connected to a sky mini dish which I am having to locate elsewhere as we are having a really thin TV installed and no room behind it.So the Sky Q mini dish connects to the main Sky Q box wirelessly, the mini dish has a HDMI cable to the TV, the tv has an HDMI cable to the ARC, the ceiling speakers have cables to the Sonos Amp and the AMP and Subconnects to the ARC wirelessly. Please tell me I have got this right???
