I am building a pool that will be outfitted with THREE underwater speakers from Clark Synthesis. The specs of the speakers are: Continuous Power Handling: 135 watts Impedance: 4 ohms Overload Protection: Polyswitch Frequency Response: 20Hz to 17kHz Electrical Connection: 100ft. – Underwater, 16-2 Wire Dimensions: 8” (20.3cm) Dia. x 4.5” (11.5cm) Deep Recommended Amplification: 125 – 150 W at 4 OhmsI don’t know how to figure out whether one can connect these 3 speakers to one amp. I reached out to the manufacturer of the speaker, and they were not totally clear but it seemed that from what they could tell from your website that maybe it would not work. I suggested to them that we could simply have 3 amps (one for each speaker) to which they replied that it appeared that the speaker would then be over powered. I guess that adds risk that one might blow out the speakers? With an underwater system, you can’t really hear the music if you’re not under water so you might crank it up too
I read a home theatre setup topic in help but it may be outdated. It says to set up the home theatre speakers as separate rooms before setting up as a home theatre. I will be setting up an Arc, Sub 3 and two Sonos Ones for surround. The Arc part of the app has “Add Sub” and “Add Surrounds” items. Do I still need to add each of the components as separate rooms in the app and then create the home theatre? Or can I just set up the Arc, add the sub and add the surrounds from the Arc page? Thanks!OB
After hours of trying to get a stupid Beam soundbar working through surround speakers, i’ve given up. Over an hour with a Sonos tech and no one knows wtf they’re doing. meanwhile, i just hook in an appleTV and the speakers all sound fine. Sonos has the best sound when it works, but it never works for long. I’m constantly dealing with connection issues and this last one wasted several hours of one of the few days off i have.I’m returning this POS beam soundbar. i wish i could return my entire sonos system. the engineers at sonos are terrible and things never seem to get better. funny thing, i had this all set up just the night before and today it was all f’d up and sonos customer service had no idea after over an hour. Waste of time. i wouldn’t advise anyone get Sonos. i doubt Bose or any other system has the constant connection issues that Sonos can never seem to truly fix.Junk.
My son thought he could add his acct to our Sonos system. I did not authorize my account to be switched to his email. Not sure how Sonos allows that. When I go to log-in, it shows his email (encrypted) at top with blank username and password. I cannot log-in using my account in the app but I can log-in with my username/pw on the internet and shows my account number. He’s tried to erase his account but it won’t let him. I now have NO way to access the Sonos. (No I am not going to use sons log-in). My account, my access (Sonos allowed him access without authorization). how do we fix this? Oh, called customer service - told customer service is no longer via phone and much use tech support online. Prompts per computer did not include my issue. Asked for live agent - none are available. sincerely,Laura
Sorry if this gets asked a lot. I couldn’t get a good search result.1. I have a Sonos Connect. Works great if I’m using the Sonos app, my Sony STR DA 2000es receiver switches over to AUX and joins the Sonos speakers playing throughout the house.1A. But does it work the other way? Can I also go out from the receiver with an option to play whatever is on the receiver to the rest of the Sonos speakers?1B. How does one typically run that? I’m currently using the Connect’s TOS link cable and AUX in on the receiver.1C. and then how do I select it on the app? 2. I find the Sonos app’s search is very limited when using for Spotify or Apple Music, almost unusable. On my Apple TV or iPhone or iPad, can I use the native Apple Music app to go out to Sonos? How exactly?
Hi I am about to add 2 sonos 1s as a stereo pair to my living room. In my conservatory I have an existing system of 2 sonos 1s and a sonos sub. How can I configure the living room pair to use the sonos sub in the conservatory, but ensure the sub still works with the conservatory pair? Thanks for any pointers.
Hi, I have a Sonos One in my house which I mainly use in the same room with it connected to the same access point. I have 3 access points each with different SSID’s but same password (large house with thick walls over 4 floors). So my question is can I store the SSID’s and passwords of each access point in my Sonos One so if I move it to another area it picks up my other access points and automatically connects?
Hello, So i have a Beam 2Play 1’s as surround and 2One SL’s. I noticed that my remote will turn up and down the beam and the surround sound but the One Sl’s will stay the same volume. Is there a way to use the remote on all the speakers? So I know the reason this is happening is because the beam and the surround play 1’s are in the same group and the One’s are their own group . So can all of them tie together instead of having 2 groups and to be able to use the remote control for my tv to control all the speakers ?
Hey all! I’m wanting to remove some clutter and am thinking about mounting my one SL’s to the wall. I was curious if anyone had tinkered with some of the mounts. Ive been seeing people say really good things about the Flexon. I love the Sonos mounts due to the design and magnetic ball on the back. However the sanus mounts look for appealing as well. Anyone got any experience with one or both or all three?
When I start my Sonos software on my laptop, I am prompted to update. The update fails with no information as to why. I cannot proceed further without finishing the update. The entire system has basically turned into a “brick” - useless, and there is no direction or help available. Very disappointing. What do I do?
Recently changed my internet from BT to Sky so new router. Sonos had been working fine but had some issues yesterday which involved a bit of assistance from support to get things working again but since the I’ve been getting some odd behaviour. Essentially the controller needs to be in the same room as the Boost otherwise it can’t find the system. Not had this before. Tried switching to a different channel and moving the Boost away from the router but to no effect. Any ideas what’s up?
