I just purchased 2 Play1, 1 sub, 1 playbar. Connected first Play 1 without any difficulty (had to use ethernet cable). Now cannot connect any of the other clients. Rebooted router, rebooted tablet, multiple tries following instructions. Completely at a loss. Frustrated.
I’m thinking of adding a Sonos Beam to my system. If I do I’m hoping to mount it above my TV in the bedroom. If I used the mounting bracket will in be able to drop the cables down to run behind the top of the TV or is there another suggestion to wall mount it above. Thanks Allan :D
Today I reset my playbase, which was working perfectly on one of my networks. I’ve now been trying for 3 hours to connect the playbase to my new network, with no success. I’ve tried multiple hard resets, removing and adding the app again, hard-wiring the speaker to my router, and just about everything else and nothing works. Now one thing I’ve just noticed is when I open my iPhone’s network settings, the Sonos PLAYBASE Black appears as a device under “ Set up as new device”, which is commonly reserved for airplay devices. Right now, the playbase’s light is blinking green as it should, but when I press the connect button, it will try to connect but will then come back with an error. When it does advance, it will fail when I get to the point where it should sound audio from the TV (usually this is when I’m doing hardwired). Any ideas on how to fix??
Hi guys, I'm moving into my new home next month and still have to decide what wall mount I should get. Setup: playbar, Sub and 2x play 1's. For the play 1's I bought the wall mount from sanus: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XDLWBRV/ But what should I get for my TV and Playbar? I'd like to have 1 wall mount where the playbar is mounted below the TV. Tv: Phiips 65" 65PUS8102 ( with Ambilight) . Weighs 26.3 kg and uses VESA 400x400 I need to be able to pull out the TV a little ( 20cm max) . Swivel probably won't be necessary. I also bough tthe Playbar wall mount kit, maybe this could be used as well. Playbar weighs bout 5,4kg, so probably should get a mount that can hold 35kg? Any advice? I saw the Flexson cantilever, but so expensive at 440 euros..
Hello I have a completely open plan living and dining room, both rooms are standard rectangles and identical in size. Currently I have a 3.1 setup in the living room with the TV plugged into a Playbar and two Play 1's on the wall behind the sofa. In the dining room I have a turntable plugged into two Play 5's that are currently setup as a stereo pair. When I listen to LPs on my turntable, which is often, I prefer to sit in the living room in various locations/chairs, and although the two Play 5's sound fantastic, they sound like they are in another room, because, well, they are. I would like to achieve a more immersive sound that sounds identical no matter how people move around and inbetween the two rooms. I can achieve this by grouping the two rooms in the app and then the sound fills both rooms nicely, but it forgets that grouping every time I turn the turntable off and on again (same with the TV). With the rooms being open plan I never have a need to play separate au
Hi folks, just got a Sonos Beam and was wondering if you plug a google Chromecast to TV and Sonos Beam to ARC input will work ? Per example, adding Netflix account to Chromecast & voice command Alexa to play « A » movie ? If so, could it be also working with Roku stream devices ? Cheers
Hi! So i have my Beam and Play1:s connected for surround sound. The Beam is outputting very low bass and i can't seem to find a way to just EQ the Beam without having my Play1:s being waaaay to bassy. Currently when i turn off the surround sound and just listen to the Beam, it's almost without bass and when i boost the bass to the max in the EQ while the Play1:s are off it sounds good, the way i imagine the Beam should sound. I am not a basshead, i understand how this sounds, but the Beam is basically without any bass with the current settings while the Play1:s are where they should be. Anyone else that have experienced this? Have a nice day everyone! Kind regards, Kim
We just bought a Playbar and a pair of Play 1 speakers and set them up with our Samsung Smart TV, cable box, receiver and DVR player. It's all hooked up and sounds great but the problem is that every time we turn off our Samsung TV and turn it back on, the sound setting on the TV switches back to "Receiver" and we have to manually go in and switch it back to "Output". I spoke with Samsung and they were of no use so I'm hoping I can get some support here.
Sonos app is showing that music is playing but there is no sound. Pandora plays fine. I've uninstalled the speaker, reinstalled it. Uninstalled and reinstalled the music apps but it persists. It was working fine for years and one day it stopped. Today I did the diagnostic report and here is the confirmation: 379523131 Any suggestions? I have a Play One
I've asked this question among many people and can't get an answer from anyone. I have a client that wants to put in a A/B switch for one Sonos zone. I'll break it down. Let's say room A has two 4ohms speakers. Room B has two 8ohms speakers and Room C has two 8ohms speakers. Sound wires from the speakers run back to the A/B switch. Room B and C would be for "B" on the A/B switch and "A" would be only for room A. Can this be done with one Sonos connect amp?
I bought a beam two days ago and I keep hearing a faint squelch sound sometimes when people are talking on the TV or when playing music with lyrics being sung. It's almost like faint feedback from a microphone being too close to a speaker. The beam is sitting slightly in front of an LG flat screen. It doesn't happen all the time and there appears to be no pattern. I've tried moving the beam further forward from the TV. Any suggestions?
Add the ability to configure more than one wireless network. That way when changing from one wireless network to another you don't have to connect each speaker via Ethernet to make the change. Ideally while connected to the speakers on network "A" you could wirelessly add the network ssid and password for network "B" as yet another network the speakers know. Then once the speakers are on network "B" you delete network "A". Having the ability to connect to more than one network would be nice for people who want to use the speakers on more than one network.
Please see the attached. I understand that the Connect: Amp can support four (4) 8 Ohm speaker pairs. I would like to do this so that a single Connect:Amp can support my Master Bedroom and Master Bath, using some already-owned Niles speaker selectors and volume controls in line that will allow two (2) or four (4) 8 Ohm speaker pairs to be connected at one time depending on the switch setup. Can you please give me your advice this approach? One question mark I have is the Niles volume control has a "Impedence Magnification" switch that needs to be configured per the second attachment. If I'm not mistaken, my setting should be "2", as I have 2 speaker pairs and and my amplifiers "minimum speaker load" is 8 ohms. Any help is appreciated.
WHY do i have to have a password? I am so sick and tired of all things today requiring us to create accounts and passwords. Today when i tried to update the system i have in the garage it requires the password and confirmation of email and good knows what. When i try to reset the password it needs to be 8 long with versaler number bla bla bla.. Are the guys working with this aware of that it is a system for playing music? It is not the security for the national safety we are talking about. IT IS A MUSIC SYSTEM!!!! I am very satisfied with all my units, play 1 play 3, play 5, and some others.. But for good sake stop this shit with forcing me to use passwords etc. I have enough of that at work and some places where i understand the need of it. But to force me to have a 8 character long password consisting of several different letters, numbers etc is just to much. I am not so worried about that someone should steal my favorite song you know!!!!
I own a Sonos One that was working fine but quit working one day. I've been unable to reconnect it. I've factory reset the Sonos and attempted to do a Boost setup using both my iPhone and Connect for Mac. I hook up ethernet and plug it in, and get the green blinking light. Then I click on the Boost button on the back when requested and the unit chimes, however, I do not get the "Next" option in the process, leaving me stuck. It is hooked in via Ethernet and there is a Wireless hotspot point not two feet away from the unit. I've tried everything and am getting extremely frustrated.
