We had sonos set up at our old home and they’re trying to access the devices and they’re still registered to our account. But I can’t delegate the devices to them because I’m not there. I would just give them the account information. But now I’m using the account for our new house. how do I get them access?
Objective of this all: set back up a tv surround system (soundbar and 2 play3s) that worked very well before the app split in S1 and S2.After factory resetting all speakers, I setup the system in S2, one speaker at the time. I managed to get the bar and one play3 setup. I fail to complete the setup of the last speaker. Many factory resets later, the app continues to tell me that the speaker is connected, but that it is not yet registered. Going through the ‘register speaker’ process, always leads to “there was a a problem setting up your Play3. Customer Care team is ready to help’.I unplugged the speaker as suggested in the help section. Unfortunately, to no avail.Anyone having an idea how to fix this? Thanks
New Sonos beam speaker is connected and working with t.v. the app will always fail after setting up speaker. Speaker continues to work through app failures. I can reset everything from app to internet and beam. Once speaker installs app fails and can't find system and sometimes no system found on this account. Everything on same network and 2ghz I would just like to have full access to settings. Any ideas?
I have 3 sonos connect amps that power speakers in different rooms and a sonos connect hooked up to my receiver in the living room. These are relatively old (purchased in 2013). One of the connect amps seems to crash the system when the volume is increased - it works fine initially but then once there is an issue, all of the other components stop working even if I unplug the problem component. Any ideas what might be going on?
Hello, My Sonos Playbase stopped working (very frequent issues when starting a playlist from PC and phone). I reset it and tried to create a new system and add it without success. The setup procedure fails each time when the app tries to identify the Playbase with the chime pin: either the sound will not be emitted by the Playbase, or it will start for 0.3 second and then stop.I spent 2 hours trying various things over the phone with the support today : trying to do the setup with another phone, wifi hotspot on a phone and setup app on another phone, direct connection to the router, changing some wifi parameters, …None of them worked. I can see that there are numerous similar issues with playbase where a faulty hardware was the root cause, and these customers got their playbase replaced : Playbase is no longer working | Sonos CommunityPlaybase no longer working | Sonos CommunityPlaybase is no longer working | Sonos CommunityCan't add Playbase; no chime, no connection. | Sonos Communit
I just bought a second hand ZP100 and connected it for a short while (10 minutes). I registered it on my account. Now when I try to use it it has a solid white light but it cannot be found. I have only one wifi in the house. I have tried finding it MANY times using the instructions. It is not found. Is it just broken? I have 7 other products all working OK.
I was planning to use a beam as front speakers for my new tv. Unfortunately the setup I have has the tv flush on the wall and the beam will stick out and won’t look good. I don’t need need amazing sound for this particular tv setup. And the built in speakers for the tv aren’t terrible. I am installing rear built in wall speakers with the Sonos amp (will use more for playing music). Can I use the amp/wall speakers as rear sound while using the built in tv speakers as the front sound? Thanks for any input. I can’t find anything when I search for info on this particular setup.
I am trying to connect either one of these speakers via BT to my Samsung TV. First thing I have a question is how do I put the plain SONOS speaker into pairing mode? And what should I see that it is indeed in pairing mode? I have a few more questions but let’s start here… Thank you in advanceKevin
Hi, I have 3 sets of play 3’s and 1 set of play ones and enjoy using the app to play music through my house. If I want to incorporate some outdoor speakers (buying the sonos amp to wire in these speakers) can I then play music through my play 3s and play 1s and also incorporating in the outdoor speakers with the amp? Thanks
I have been using Sonos for years, and love the product! This is about the shipper Fed Ex. The order arrived a day late and the box has clearly been dropped hard, enough so that the outer and inner box corners are creased. But, I opened the box and proceeded to set up. Plugged in the Sub does nothing, just sits there like an expensive paper weight or doorstop. I am so angry with FedEx. And I couldnt raise anyone in Sonos customer support either! I will gladly take a rapid cross shipment with FedEx but I’m cautious now.
I was guided through the setup process, which worked fine. The system played music via WiFi beautifully. Later in the day the system said I needed to connect again. The 2nd setup procedure, strangely, omitted the note about using an Ethernet cable to begin setup. I tried everything suggested this second time around, plus things I read on other forums. The speakers will now only play using an Ethernet cable, not WiFi.
Background: Bought a house with 4 “dumb” ceiling speakers in 4 different rooms. Owners had a Denon receiver, an AudioSource amp and a Russound SS-4.2 4-way speaker selector. Each speaker has 4 wires and also has wall volume dials. The wires are all disconnected. My goal: Stream Sonos (and Spotify) through the 4 speakers and be able to control the volume of each speaker and turn each speaker on and off from my phone.Question: Can I use the Sonos Amp with the Russound SS-4.2 4-way selector? Do I need more than one Amp?Pics: Here’s the front and back of the Russound SS-4.2 4-way selector.
I have a single Play 3 and would like to know how much better two of these as a pair would sound? I would have to buy a used one as they are now not available new. Also. how much better, if at all, would a pair of One SLs sound (I would then use the Play 3 in another room or sell it). For context I am 73 years young and my hearing isn’t what it was, therefore I am not going to hear the full range of sound that a younger person would appreciate. The room is a sun lounge with a vaulted ceiling, solid roof with traditional roof tiles. Wall height is up to the windowsills with lots of double glazed windows. The room measures 4 metres x 5 metres. Thank you.
I have a boost, play 3 , play 5 and playbar that worked fine now that i switch to AT&T i can’t get them all to connect. MY playbar is ethernet to TV, other devices are wireless. WHen I try to add playbar wirelessly it will not allow me to because it can’t find it. It used to work pre AT&T . Now it does not recognize/find it. Please help.
