Hii recently got a couple of symfonisk lamps to provide surround sound to the beam I have. On first install a couple of yesterday, everything went great and I was super pleased 👍🏼 today when I logged into the Sonia app on iOS everything had disappeared. Anyway reset the app and added the bean back following the unplug approach the app steps you through. Perfect. Then I went to add the syfonisk lamp. I hard rest the synfonisk lamp and re added from scratch. It says it’s added successfully but it refuses to show within the system so I can’t create surround sound. I tried the same with the other lamp and the same thing has happened. It mentions unplugging them and plugging them back in again but that doesn’t help. 😢 Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you 😊
I have been taking my Play1’s with me on vacation for 6 years and hooking it up to the local WiFi. This year they installed community WiFi guest network. With the way Sonos works with Guest Networks its not possible to connect. After doing some research I was able to get past the Guest Wifi limitation with a laptop and a router. The laptop will be used to connect to the Guest Network. The router will be used to connect your Sonos speakers. What you need to do is to create a Bridge Connection in the Internet settings between the WiFi and the Ethernet port on your laptop. Very straight forward. Search Network Bridge Connection on Google. This will turn your Ethernet port from a incoming port to outgoing port and allow the the Guest Network connection to be share through the Ethernet port. Once its setup login into the Guest Network on your laptop and connect the Ethernet Port to the router and setup your Sonos speakers as normal. Best part is the router can be used for all your wireless
Hello,I just bought the project T1 SB with Sonos Port. And my sonos setup is: Sonos Beam 2x Sonos One 1x Sub I know the sub wont work with the Sonos Port, but I really want beam and 2x one to be working. But when I play a vinyl, I only hear sound from the beam and 1x Sonos instead of beam and 2x sonos one. Does the Port not work with 1x Beam and 2x Sonos One? Thanks
I have two Sonos Moves (not stereo pair). Originally named PatioSonos and GarageSonos. After some issues (notably with Apple Music). I decided to start again; I reset both Moves, reset the apps and went through the transfer ownership routine. Then set up again this time with names Patio and Garage. One or other Sonos app (using iPad and Mac) changes BOTH names to PatioSonos. Changing them to Patio and Garage again only lasts a few minutes.Changing one would be annoying but livable with; changing both is not just poor QA on the Sonos software but makes using awkward (as a minimum, I have to test play to determine which is which!).Any ideas/suggestions to really reset to factory settings appreciated...
My wife has a Costco Kirkland signature 7.0 hearing aid. We recently bought a Beam 2nd gen sound bar from Costco. Older hearing aids like the 7 can have Bluetooth added on for a minimal expense, although the user has to wear an external dongle (which is definitely not ideal).Costco has newer models that have Bluetooth included, and her current aid works great except it doesn’t have Bluetooth, and there’s not much benefit to switch if the Beam doesn’t help her.Does the Beam 2nd gen have any Bluetooth support or support for hearing aids in general?
I just replaced Google Next Mesh with Eero 6+ mesh. All Wi-Fi devices work except Sonos. Well, Sonos only recognizes one speaker (One SL). I have seven speakers. The system was working fine until I switched. My controller is S2.One of the speakers is old. It is on S1. Again, no problems until switch.
I want to connect a CD jukebox to play throughout my home. I currently have (second-get) Sonos amp, two pairs of “Fives,” a Beam connected to two Fives, a Beam connected to two Play-Ones, two freestanding Play Ones, and another Sound Bar. A sonos Amp, which serves as the internet input for the whole system, plays out to two Klipsch speakers. Can i connect a CD jukebox to the amp and then play through the entire house? Many thanks.
BLUETOOTH ISSUE NOW 2 YEARS OLD AND RESOLVED IS BACKI’m trying to do a rest on a couple of Play 1’s, and the Sonos 2 app on my iPhone is prompting me to turn on Bluetooth access in the settings for the app itself. When you open the settings and go to Sonos 2, there is no on/off switch for Bluetooth whatsoever, just permission to access local network. Weird right? Not exactly the same as the old post I screenshotted but darn close. What do I do? Thanks
I have 23 Sonos components and am converting at least half of them from wireless to wired. In one room, I set my Arc and Sub as “Disable Wi-Fi”, but my surround speakers (Play:1s) are wireless. How does the Arc bond with the surrounds in this case?On one hand, I would hope the Arc’s 5 GHz radio would be used for this. But since I designated it “Disable Wi-Fi”, I’m guessing the Arc would go through my wired network, to the Sonos speaker acting as the SonosNet bridge (different room), back to the wireless surrounds.
Hello! I have observed strange system behavior when adding a new product. When I add new speaker to system sometimes at the end I have pleasant sound and info that I can start complete the settings. But sometimes I got info that product has been added, but must be registered and updated. If it is brand new speaker than ok. But sometimes I got this info when I add speaker after factory reset. It's a bit of a lottery how the process of adding a new product will end up.Has anyone encountered anything like this. Is this even a problem?
The Visio TV is located in my backyard bar area. I have many Sonos speakers throughout my home so wanted to buy the Ray to couple with this TV and also join my Sonos family of speakers extending the music to the outdoor bar. I have been unable to get the TV audio to play through the Ray so seeking some community input. It’s an inexpensive and older TV but it does offer optical out. There are only a few settings on the TV to alter the audio output but I haven’t been able to find the combination to make this happen. I am using an Apple TV 4K gen 1 as my only source to the TV. I have not yet tried a different optical cable so a bad cable, which came with the Ray, is a possibility. Here are the TV and Apple TV setup options that may/may not be in play for this:Vizio D43-D2 TV Settings TV speakers on/off - I set to offDigital Audio Out - PCM or Bitstream. I have tried both but believe PCM is correct for the RayCEC - Disable/ARC only/Enable. I have tried all but not sure of the relevance w
I moved to Germany a while back and had connection issues ever since. I recently read that in Europe additional WiFi channels are supported and hence I wanted to change my speaker’s region to EU by accessing http://<sonos_ip>:1400/region.htm. They all show US as default and when I try to change that I get a 403 because I don’t have the correct password. What pw is being asked for here? Where do I get the info from? Is it possible to change all speakers’ regions together (I changed the country settings in my account but to no avail). Thanks for any suggestions!!
I have HiSense TV (model: h50n5300) - I have surround sound set up and when playing music it is working as expected, however when switching to TV the sound is only outputted through the Ray soundbar. The TV supports 5.1 surround sound with RAW and PCM audio settings.
I just purchased a new LG C1 65 and Sonos arc SL from Costco. And I hooked the Sonos arc with the original HDMI cable to LG C1 HDMI-4 (all four HDMI ports support ARC/eARC). But somehow Sonos app shows ‘Can not connect to LG speaker’. I have turn on the following options for LG C1:Sound out: HDMI ARC HDMI input audio format: Bitstream Digital sound out: pass through eARC: Enabled Simplink (CEC): On
I have just bouight a Sonos Ray and set up surround sound ith my exisiting pair of Play 1s.I would like to tweak the volume of the speaker indiviually, in particular make the Play 1s a tad louder in than what they are now in the Surround set up, is that possible?
Been searching through this topic and finding nothing that helps. Bought a new ARC. Attached to my house wifi. Robust system over Cat6A cable with multiple access points. Took a working sub and two One’s from another system. Factory reset them. Added them successfully to the same room as the Arc. But NOTHING will connect to the ARC. Wifi is. enabled. I have restarted the ARC. Settings on TV correct (HDMI to Arc input, etc.). Restarted TV. Nothing. Maddening. Please help. FYI, I cannot connect with an ethernet to anything. Router is in the basement in a cabinet with other equipment. Thanks.
What moron in Marketing came up with the concept that, moving forward, all new Sonos hardware would be Sonos 2 compatible only? It had to be Marketing, because no Tech weenie would ever do this.I have Sonos speakers throughout my house, 10 separate devices in all working seamlessly to provide high quality tunes in every room and outside. But today, I purchased a Sonos Roam, only to find out that it was incompatible with my existing Sonos 1 system, and if I moved forward, I would be forced to have 2 separate Sonos 1 and 2 systems, neither of which will talk to each other, on my network. If my existing Playbar, which is paired with 2 ea S1 speakers dies, and I have to replace, am I out of luck? I am not about to replace all my hardware, which would require a considerable investomet, for a mediocre outside speaker.Just f-ing unbelievable.
I am about to wall mount my Sonos Arc using the Sonos wall mount. My electrician has layed a conduit channel within the wall for cables (power, HDMI and ethernet). However, for my preferred position of the TV and Arc, this conduit channel lies to the right of centre when looking at the arc from the front (approx 150mm from the right edge of the Arc). If the cables are brought out of the wall at this point, will it still be possible to connect them to the Arc at the insertion points further along the Arc, whilst using the wall mount, or will the cables get in the way or be visible? Cheers
Do you need wifi to connect phone to roam via Bluetooth? I won a Sonos speaker but I don't have wifi at home. I can't get roam to enter Bluetooth mode. I can't set up the app because I don't have wifi. Does this mean you couldn't use the speaker if you are away from wifi, like out on a boat or camping?
