I currently have my Sonos Connect connected to a Sony STR-DH590 receiver to power my Living Room in ceiling surround speakers. Is there anyway to connect my Sonos Arc to this receiver so I can have the ceiling speakers and ARC play together?

No.  Arc is made for replacing your receiver not working with one.

You could add an AMP to drive the rear surround speakers and use ARC as the front.

How can I connect the ARC to Sonos connect? The connect needs a receiver.

For TV HT surround sound, you cannot use the Sonos ‘Connect’. It’s not actually intended for that purpose.. but note you can ‘group’ a Connect with a Sonos Arc, but the audio-delay, due to group-room buffering out to your ceiling speakers via the Connect/Receiver would cause an echo in the same room .. if you want the Arc to work in sync with your ceiling speakers as rear HT TV surround channel audio, you would need to replace the Connect/Receiver with a Sonos Amp… personally speaking however I’m not a fan of ceiling speakers for HT audio, but that’s a matter entirely for you.

Apologies for being pedantic, but it’s semi-necessary due to Sonos’ odd naming policies.

ARC is Audio Return Channel

Arc is a Sonos speaker
