Do I need one speaker or two for surrounds

I have just bought a sonos one sl to link with my beam whilst I appreciate I wont get the best stereo sound it doesn't seem to pair with the beam sound from the tv . Am I doing something wrong or do I have to purchase another sonos one sl to make it all work

A single One can be grouped with the Beam. It would play in sync for music but the audio would be slightly delayed for TV sound.

Surround speakers need to be bonded in pairs. They’d play in sync with the Beam at all times. So, yes, you’d need another One SL if you’re wanting surround sound.

Many thanks will have to persuade the wife for another one !
