Cannot add Apple Music on iPhone or iPad

Just bought my first Sonos S1 speaker.  Setting it up, trying to add Apple Music and I get this error when entering my Apple Music password, “We’ve run into a problem.  Try again”.  Same error on both iPhone 10 (14.4) and iPad (14.6).  I don’t use a Apple Music subscription, just want access to all of the music that I own.  I’ve rebooted everything.  Any ideas?

Where is this owned music stored?

Both cloud and a local networked hard drive.  I can’t even get into my account through the Sonos app.

I don't think you can play from the cloud, although I am not an Apple user. 

To play locally stored music you need to set up the Sonos Music Library.
