Will there be an update to Apple Music on Sonos and will it be this year ? I only ask because timely updates are not Sonos strong area.

So now that I have iOS 10, I've noticed in the new Apple Music app that Sonos is now a specialist curator and have lots of playlists. The irony being you can't actually use them on Sonos equipment because only the old Apple Music comes through the Sonos app.

if I go under search at top.....click on playslists.... then type Sonos. It gives me dozens of Sonos curated playlists in Apple Music.

Same place as you. The only S in the list is shazzam, no sonos.

They are not in alphabetical order - for me Sonos is third from the bottom. You know swipe up to scroll down through the list.
If not there does it come up in search.

Yes they are in alphabetical order as you can see in the photo and I'm on 6.4.

What country? Only other thing I can think is it is incorrectly filtering them by country.

You could try deleting the Apple Music App in sonos and adding it back to see.
Apple Music does need an update. Under Radio - go to Genres, the categories have not been updated. For example - under Electronic, Downtempo is a new station, but not included in SONOS's folder for Electronic. But because I played the station with my iPhone earlier, it does show up under Recently played.
This is a theme with SONOS and Apple Music - stuff is available, but awful interface to find stuff, when compared to the interface on iOS or iTunes on OSX.
Could we get an answer from SONOS moderators as to when this might be updated?

That one doesn't show under radio...electronic on mine.
But if I search for it using the search function under radio then downtempo I find it.

Re adding Apple Music didn't do anything
The point of my OP was sonos is now using the old Apple Music. The new one is completely different. With personalised playlists - I want to see those through Apple Music on Sonos.

I actually see the Sonos playlists in my Apple Music in Sonos. I'm not sure why you do not.

Let's forget the sonos playlists for now. Apple have totally revamped Apple Music. I want to know when sonos will reflect that. It's not like they didn't have a dev preview.
Interesting, we have different lists. You don't have Shazam there. I wonder why it's different. In my Apple Music app it's there, just not on Apple Music through sonos.

I have Shazam - I had scrolled down to show Sonos. I have 39 categories under Curator Playlists.
I'm not sure what is different vs. the Apple Music app as I never use the app but as far as I know the Apple Music for Sonos is still under development. I doubt your going to get a response from Sonos as to next updates.

I only have 28. Must be region dependent. I'm in Australia. We often get left out of all things like this. Despite being the highest spenders on tech in the world lol

Strange that Sonos Playlists would be region dependent. Especially your saying they show up in your phone Music app which should have same regional dependence.
Maybe a bug sonos needs to look at regarding region coding.

May not hurt to go under settings...advanced...submit diagnostic (post diag # here) and have a Sonos rep. take a look at your system and its regional setting etc.

Funny enough, all the new Apple playlists and radio stations are showing. Must be a bug or maybe sonos servers need time to reflect the changes across users.
I think that curated ones have always been so - in India I see some that I am sure you would not - MTV India for instance. I don't see the Sonos ones either. I think Apple drives this selection, not Sonos.

Some of the curated playlists are region specific depending on agreements. The Sonos station is only available in certain countries.
