Question

sonos and large media libraries

I am using Twonky as DLNA media server on my NAS to allow me to play my large music collection (smb to Sonos is limited to 50.000 songs). This works fine and smooth, except for the album art: it doesn't show up. Is there anything I can do about this? Known issue? I can't find a solution on this forum...

I've seen Plex mentioned, never tried it myself to know what it can do.

If you send Sonos a diagnostic and contact support they can get back to you on your music library and how it is pushing the Sonos limits. I believe it can go to 65,000 or so songs if some of the associated data is kept small.
Sonos isn't DLNA compliant so I suspect Sonos would just say, 'some issues to be expected'.
