Sirius has been dropping the stream sporadically all day. Error is unable to play song not encoded properly.  Sometimes it comes right back others I have to start it. It’s always stable most of the time.

I’d try a few things.

  1. Unplug your Sonos device from power, and while it’s unplugged, reboot your router. Once the router comes back up, plug back in your Sonos device.
  2. Uninstall your Sirius “plug in” in the Sonos controller, wait a minute or two, then reinstall it.
  3. If neither of those work, submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the phone folks, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and network.
