I use to be able to play my PC music library on my sonos system.  Now when I attempt to add PC music Sonos states PC not responding to request (from Sonos to add music file). I have all sharing on PC music, went to sonos and followed steps to ensure sonos controller etc.is not blocked by firewall.

Any other suggestions. I know a little about computers etc. just not an expert.

Most likely is you need to change the computer to allow SMB v1 sharing, Sonos requires that.

Thank you Stanley - Christmas music is now playing throughout our home. I would never had looked at the SMB v1 sharing - but your suggestion did the trick.

All is good.

If you are using a PC you don’t need SMB at all: the controller installs an https service to deliver music from PCs to Sonos players.

If using a NAS then yes, SMB v1 is sadly required.
