Hello. Below is a quirky and UNSOLVABLE problem. I have a Playbar and 2 Play 3s set up in a room. I use my controller to to go to my playlist which was formed with selections from Apple Music. I am told that Sonos can not play this selection...Then it says my connection to Apple Music is gone. My controller is found on my iPhone SE which is up to date. Now, this system was set up two weeks ago. Before that I was using a Sonos Connect to play my Apple Music selections through and Onkyo receiver and advent speakers. I NEVER has a problem in the 6-7 months that I used this set up. I went and spent $1000 because I loved the Sonos concept, but it refuses to work. OK...I disconnected the Sonos speakers from the power and allowed each, one at a time to reboot. No fix. Then I disconnected and rebooted my verizon modem/router which is connected to my Apple Time Capsule which is also a router. Both were disconnected and rebooted. No fix Then I disconnected my iPhone which holds my
Is there any way of playing iTunes Match music through my Sonos system? I have a library of approximately 10000 songs all stored using iTunes Match, I have access to all my music from all of my devices and computer, but can’t find a way of playing it through my Sonos system. I expect I will be able to play using AirPlay 2 when that is introduced, but am keen to know if there is a way currently. I don’t have anything with a 3.5mm jack input and feel that would be a retrograde step anyway.
Hey guys, Here is my question. I am preparing to greatly expand my Sonos setup and reconfigure my library. It is going to be an undertaking but will ultimately yield good results. The first step in the process is going to be re-ripping my entire CD collection (about 500 discs) into a lossless format, most likely ALAC. As a part of the process I will also be moving from an Apple Time Capsule to a more sonos friendly NAS solution. This leads to my question of which option is best - would love your thoughts: Used G4 Mac Mini + 1 TB External Hard drive Specs: Mac Mini G4 (1.25 GHz, 512 MB Ram) Cost: Mac Mini - $175 + Hard Drive - $160 Total: $335 Benefits: - full computer - easy to automate ripping - can serve as a headless unit - easy to upgrade Downsides: - slow processor - must be on all the time Vortexbox - 1 TB Standalone Cost: $379 Benefits: - automates ripping - serves as a headless unit Downsides - not a full computer - not o
I just ordered a Sonos One during the Prime Day deal (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074XN1LH3/ref=twister_B07CZ4X3VM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) - it's my first Sonos product and I'm pumped! I was watching the /r/sonos reddit and noticed there were a few people who mentioned the sound quality via Airplay 2 being worse compared to playing the quality through the Sonos app - https://www.reddit.com/r/sonos/comments/8yylo1/airplay_2_sound_quality_compared_to_sonos_app_use/ Has anyone experienced this?
I have an Amazon Prime account and want play the Prime Music feature through Sonos (which works fine on my computer). I added the account, no problem. But when I go to play something, it looks like it's about to play, and then a message pops up that says, "Go Unlimited, listen to this music and millions more songs... (etc.). And the music doesn't play. I should be able to listen to Prime Music, right? I'm referring to the music that comes with the standard Prime membership. Any ideas on how to fix this?
I'm probaby one of the few living on the GPM island, but YouTube music is suppose to refresh today. Eventually, it will replace Google play music. Will Sonos support? https://youtu.be/HCLehj1B38M "On Tuesday, May 22, we’ll begin rolling out YouTube Music, a new music streaming service made for music on top of the magic of YouTube" https://youtube.googleblog.com/2018/05/youtube-music-new-music-streaming.html
I wanted one of these turntables when first announced by my enthusiasm waned when they handled their delays poorly. Then on Xmas am Santa Wife put one under the tree. The good- If you like the look of SONOS you will love this. I got the white one and the look and finish is amazing. The OK-Software setup is still in beta so not flawless but did work. Once you use their software to connect to the wifi network, you only use the SONOS app from there on. When you set the needle on the record it takes a second or two for sound to come out so it's weird to use a turntable with a delay. Pretty sure I will get use to that but now it's annoying. The Bad. The motor is not totally quiet. Not loud but you can hear it when you are close to the turntable. No way to adjust the speed as the belt stretches as it gets older. No light on the turntable. No 45rpm spindle. And there is no reason they couldn't have added phono outputs. As well the sound from the turntable is much lower than other inputs
I am looking for either a forum or discussion group where users discuss issues with the Pandora service, since there has been a serious issue lately. Since the issue I am seeing has nothing to do with Sonos, it would be OT to discuss it here. Where can I go?
In anticipation of Songza shutting down end of January, I added Google Play Music service to my Sonos. But as soon as I open the Google Play Music service, I get a message saying "Play Music's free radio isn't playable on the Sonos app. Use Play Music or play your purchased and uploaded music." Will the Songza playlists, now streamable on Sonos, no longer be available once the transition occurs? What I am doing wrong? Thanks!
Hello, I've been running Pandora on my Sonos system, via the iPod Touch app. I like it a lot, but there is one little thing I can't figure out... I can bookmark an artist or song from the "i" screen. However, I cannot figure out how to access my saved bookmarks on the Sonos system. I'm sure I must be missing something embarrassingly obvious. But can someone please point me in the right direction here? Thanks, Matt
Hi As of today, my Sonos system will not connect to any of my music services (Spotify, Soundcloud, Mixcloud, NTS). Note TuneIn Radio and Bandcamp are unaffected. I have followed the instructions in other tickets to resolve (i.e. turning of router, turning off all Sonos speakers etc.) but the issue persists. Diagnostic Number: 1689931636. Can you please assist? Thanks Rob
Hi, When attempting to access any stations from TuneIn I receive the message "Unable to Play the Radio Station". Below some debugging info: - When using other services (ex: MyTuner): it works - When launching from TuneIn website: it works - I've tried to do the full reboot as explained (*): it does not fix the problem Diagnosis submitted: 396228719 Thanks for your help, Julien (*): - https://en.community.sonos.com/announcements-228985/resolved-tunein-radio-unable-to-browse-or-play-on-sonos-03-23-17-6768307/index4.html - https://en.community.sonos.com/announcements-228985/resolved-tunein-radio-unable-to-browse-on-sonos-07-28-17-6789181
Hi there, On new years eve I'm DJ-ing at a party with friends. At the party we have around 4 SONOS boxes and a bridge. I want to play music through the DJ app Traktor on my computer. But I was wondering if the SONOS system can connect with this DJ app? I can use the app on a Mac or PC, I have both. Who can help me out?! Thanks a lot!
Hello,I've had to reset my speaker as radio stations weren't working. I've managed to get the speaker back up and running and it plays some radio stations from tune in and Sonos Radio but It won't play any foreign stations which it did do previously until today. What is the issue with it? Also tune in won't find every country under its locations where as before it did, any ideas why this is?Manythanks
Hi, Since the app update, when i'm trying to open my Apple Music playlists through Sonos it doesn't find any of the playlists and says: "we've run into a problem. Try again". I tried again, and again and it doesn't work. The sonos recognizes all the rest of the apple music options: artists, songs, etc. - but not the playlists that I use on apple music. Beside that, when I'm listening to Appke music through sonos, every few songs (randomly... it can be after one, two, three... songs), it stops and says it was unable to play that song from apple music... The diagnostic number is: 7925107 Thanks, Ido
