Can’t play any radio station at all all of a sudden, I get :“Unable to play “Sonos radio” access denied or “unable to play the radio station” messages despite being logged in and able to play other music via Apple or Tidal without issue, internet connection good etc.Have logged out and back in and tired from multiple devices, same.
As reported in many other topics apparently it's still necessary to use SMB1 for playing music from a Synology Diskstation system? It's now 2021 and I just had to change the settings on my diskstation to allow the unsecure SMB1 in order to be able to add a shared folder to my Sonos music library.Sonos seems to be closing all topics on this forum about this subject for further comments, but is not addressing the problem?
I listen to mostly classical music. As we all know, this music has very quiet moments and then very loud moments. But these differences in volume or so pronounced with Sonos that I have to constantly be ready with my controller to either bring up the volume for the quieter moments, then have to turn down the volume when the orchestra gets louder, because it gets much TOO LOUD. Sounds very unnatural and overly manipulated by -- the engineers? Is there some way to even out the volume so that it's not so exaggerated?
I have set up my Sonos system, 2 paired play 1s and 1 Sonos One, with a 4 G Router. Everything works as it used to on the telephone wire router except Amazon Music. I have deleted and re-installed Amazon Music but the result is the same. e.g. I can search for an artist, display albums etc. But can’t display the contents or play individual songs. Other music providers like TuneIn are working. how do I get Amazon music to set up and play on a 4g router
Hello, I am considering buying Sonos speakers (like Play 1 pair and sub) and one of the main uses will be to play Spotify. I am wondering about the sound quality over sonos speakers. I currently have a decades old home stereo that sounds decent enough with cds, but sounds not so very decent playing spotify, and even though spotify is set to the highest bitrate (I'm playing it directly wired to the "aux in" over a high quality cable from my iphone). I'm no audiophile, but am guessing that this may have less to do with something wrong with Spotify and more something to do with mixing new and old (and not so great) technology. So what I'm wondering is the sound quality users are getting out of Spotify Premium over Sonos speakers. Also what app are you using (i.e.: Spotify Connect or Sonos)? I read somewhere on this board that Spotify Connect was limited to a low bitrate, but I'm assuming this problem has been fixed.
Sonos App - "Your play count was unusually high during the last hour. For security reasons listening will be temporarily blocked"
Using the Sonos App on iPhone and Sonos controller on MacBook Pro, when trying playing songs through Deezer I keep getting this message. "Your play count was unusually high during the last hour. For security reasons listening will be temporarily blocked" Wtf? Anyone got any ideas??
Hi guys, I have readed many topics about the compatibility of YouTube.. None of them are good enough or easy to use.. It is now 3 years we have past and we still do see no difference.. Will that change back anytime soon or do you just not listen to your customers which pay much money to even buy a speaker of you.. Yours sincerely, Tmcmaster
In the last 2 releases of both the Mac and iOS Controller app (version 5.4 and 5.5), Spotify folders have been removed. Which is beyond baffling. I've submitted feedback and diagnostics through Sonos and have been looking for either: 1) an update to bring folders back or 2) a source to revert back to the good ol' days of 5.3 I have over 50 playlists so having a large list is really un-helpful.
I have many playlists saved to different devices, android phone, laptop and ipad. When I want to play them through my speakers I have to wait for them to stream when using the bridge playlist. I realise I could use a line in connection but if I'm on the move round the house and want to change tracks or skip one I have to go to the Sonos device with chosen Spotify device attached to it to change the playlist, very frustrating if I'm upstairs and its connected downstairs. If there is no internet connection I am forced to use this method of listening to Spotify. A Sonos device capable of caching Spotify tracks or allowing us to use it in the same way as an ipad with Spotify installed for instance to create an offline selection would be ideal. This would resolve internet issues stopping a friendly way of continuing to use use our Sonos equipment and stop a bad connection causing stutter in the playback of tracks.
Hello, Agenda: Chromecast support on Sonos. I’ve been reading through this forum about this topic, and basically can’t find any clear answer - apart from ‘we’ll pass this request to developers’. As an iPhone user I know I can use Airplay however I don’t find it a very good solution; I get a phone call, music stops, walk out the house, music stops, not to mention my battery constantly draining. Additionally as good (in its own way) the Sonos app is, many services don’t give their respective platforms enough attention, rather spending it on their native apps - many of which support Chromecast. e.g. I often find myself on Soundcloud native iOS app, find a set I want to listen, but then have to go into Sonos’s app and search it again. Similar use case with YouTube music, and Youtube in general, need to use Airplay. So I’d like to ask: Are there are Sonos developers here who could comment on the challenges of implementing Chromecast and what the potential timeline of release (if its realist
I mostly use Sonos to access the music stored on my iPhone. All my songs are there, and I can search for the title of any song in the Sonos app and play it successfully. HOWEVER, when I try to use the ‘Browse’ option in the app, very few options appear on some of the lists. For instance, when I choose Browse > On this iPhone > Artists, only about 15 artists are listed. And when I choose Browse > On this iPhone > Genres > Metal, for instance, only one album appears. By comparison, when I use the Apple native music app, there are about 250 artists in total, and about 18 different albums in the ‘Metal’ genre. To repeat, I know Sonos can access all my music, because if I search for a particular song or album using the Search option, I always find it and it plays ok. It’s just that most of these songs are apparently invisible to Browse > Albums and Browse > Genres. I guess this is something to do with my metadata, but I have looked quite closely in iTunes and I can’t see anything t
Sonos One + Android phone with large flac libary on phone. I have a lot of playlists in my Android music player (Black Player EX)How do I play these playlists in the Sonos app? I SEE all my music, and I see my playlists in the Sonos Playlist area, but the playlists show no tracks, and when I try to play them I get an error: “Unable to add songs to the Queue” My music library is on an SD card, not the phone’s native storage. Right now, on Sonos I am confined to playing albums and tracks. That works fine, but I NEED MY PLAYLISTS TO ALSO WORK. I have no other source of music. Please tell me how to solve this!
Just upgraded to Catalina, and SONOS is now useless. Despite being able to see and link to the USB drive with my music library, SONOS insists there's nothing there. I'm guessing it's some sort of paranoid OSX security setting - but would appreciate any help from you guys......
When I go to My Music, none of my playlists show up. Artists do but when I select one it says "No Selections Are Available". I've tried reauthorizing and removing/adding Apple music to Sonos. Rebooting my iPhone does not work either. iOS 10.0.2, iPhone 7 Plus. Sonos version 6.4.1. I just got this phone. It worked fine on my previous iPhone. Apple Music works fine on the phone. I get the same message on Sonos Controller for Mac 6.4. Any ideas?
I play mixes on Mixcloud other peoples and my own and after 30 min or more it’ll skip to the next mix. This has been happening for a very long time but as I don’t use it much I’ve never bothered to report it. However now in lockdown so using it a lot now. Diagnostics number is: 612132602 can someone please help?
I have two problems: 1) All of my playlists wont download to Sonos - I can only see some 2) The information concerning my genres is not correct - whereas I have 13 genres on iTunes, I have many more on Sonos. How can I resolve these problems? Thank you.
Recently upgraded to: MAC OS 10.13 High Sierra// followed by SONOS Controller 8.1 SONOS now unable to add my two iTunes music libraries that it has been accessing fine for the last several years. (These libraries are fairly large - 47 Gigs and 99 Gigs and are located on my iMac along with the SONOS controller program.) Followed all steps on the various levels of the SONOS troubleshooting website - re-set firewall settings, revised music sharing settings and computer naming protocols and tried showing the path to the libraries in different manners. Nothing prevents the receipt of error code 1002 and the message that SONOS could not add the library. I just spent 20 minutes with the initial level SONOS support representative on the phone and he had no solution. Any suggestions appreciated. I am a big user of SONOS and have ten Connect or Connect Amp devices in my house and it is frustrating to have this basis function suddenly not work. Thanks.
I recently set up a Sonos system, and Spotify is the only service I’ve connected. I want to be able to play songs marked as “explicit” through Sonos, but they’re grayed out. It seems like this has to either be a Spotify thing or a Sonos thing, but… I’ve never filtered explicit content in Spotify, but I checked my Spotify settings just in case, and “Allow explicit content” is indeed enabled I found “Content Filters” in the Sonos settings, but “Filter Explicit Content” is grayed out and says “Not supported” Any idea what might be going on? I haven’t found an answer on the forums yet. Thanks!
So, allegedly, Amazon HD is supported on Sonos. How does one know what songs are in HD and what are not? I don’t see any of this indicated on the Sonos app. Is every song in the upgraded HD format and we should just presume we are getting that quality? Thanks in advance
I just want to be able to use the Spotify app and play music on my Sonos system. Is that too much too ask? Spotify's app is great. Sonos speaker system is great. They are a natural combo. An easier/better integration between these two great things would simply make life better. What needs to be done to make this happen? Let's get to work. I hope I'm not missing something here... I'm fairly new to sonos, but I haven't found a way to play anything on sonos without going through the sonos app (let me know if I'm wrong on this). The more I use Spotify away from home the more I get frustrated with the Sonos app. So why is it setup this way? What's the functional, technical or business reasoning behind this annoyance? Anyone with insight please share. (Soapbox spiel - just a heads up) Personally, I think sonos would be a much more attractive system if it had an open format and could be used with any application. I certainly didn't buy my first speakers because I heard th
When playing Pandora on my computer the app has a history of recently played songs available. This history is a great help when I want to mark songs I have recently heard with a thumbs up or down indication or when I want to identify the song that has recently played. When using Sonos to play Pandora, if I want to mark a song I have to race to make sure I have access to the app before the song switches because of the lack of history. Please add a history of recently played songs when using Pandora.
I would love to use Storytel (http://storytel.com) on my Sonos system. When can I expect to using it just like I can use Spotify? Storytel is the leading streaming audio book service in Scandinavia with almost 100 000 subscribers. It's a way for you to adapt to the Scandinavian market.
