This is an intermittent issue. I have reloaded my Music Library into Sonos. Half of the time when I want to play songs from the Music Library, I get the dreaded 1002 error that they cannot be added to the Queue. Half of the time, I get the error that the Sonos application cannot find the music in its folder directory (//ComputerName/Users/etc.....). I don't believe this is a network interference issue, since it will play Spotify without a problem at the moment. File Sharing is already on for the folder where my Music is actually located. Thoughts?
Hey everybody, I got a question about a certain radio station that I want to play through my Sonos system. I really like the relaxed music of www.poolside.fm and as I said I would love to play this on my Sonos system. I added the music station via my Controller app on my Mac, but it says that 'the number/song is not coded correctly'. The radiostation Poolside FM is based on soundcloud, so I think that could be the problem. Is there anyway I can still get the radio on Sonos, or is it just impossible? Thanks in advance! John
We used to run Apple Music on our Sonos system every day, but after we had to monkey around with our Apple accounts through Apple's customer support, we now cannot play Apple Music over Sonos. Instead, we are prompted to connect to Apple Music, I enter our password (yes, the correct one - double and triple checked), hit enter and I get a message "Cannot connect to iTunes Store". I've researched the problem extensively, but none of the other customer issues quite seem to match ours. I've reset the wireless router and the speakers, I've deleted the app and reloaded it (three times). Nothing seems to work. Can the Sonos experts help? I submitted a diagnostic #6669274. Thanks
I use an older MacBook Pro hardwired to my router to serve my music library to my sonos system. Since I updated my mobile devices to recent versions of Sonos, my Manage functions are not available on the Server (Mac OS 10.7.5) and although Manage functions are available on my iPhone, my music library is not visible to iPhone Sonos. Sooo, I can't play any tunes from my Library. Is there a way to make the music library on the old macbook available to devices running Sonos 6.4.8? If not, what are my options?
i bought a SONOS Play 1 yesterday as I thought it was the best quality and easy to use. 24 hours later and it istill not working. I have downloaded the app and cannot get beyond press and release buttons simultaneously page. Have followed all advice switching on and off reloading app etc etc and still nothing - phone lines apparently very expensive and veery busy so I am stuck with a so called quality piece of audio equipment that cost a lot of money and it cannot find the product even though the WI Fi is on and I am virtually sitting on top of the router. What is the problem???
Hi, Not sure where/how to post this. Being in Europe I regularly listen to US radio stations via TuneIn on Sonos, and would love to see a quick way of adding the song which is currently playing to my Spotify playlist, all from the Sonos app, and preferably even from the screen where you have not yet unlocked the iPhone/iPad. Now you have to remember the artist and song title, enter my pin code to open the iPad, open the Spotify app, and add the information. Would certainly add to the Sonos listening experience ! Thx!
Mac OS 10.11.6 (El Capitan) Some (not all) tracks purchased from iTunes are not showing when I search or navigate to the album or artist. However, if they are in a playlist, they appear in the Imported Playlist folder. I haven't updated to Sierra, and -- because of the historical that comes with Mac OS updates until they are adequately patched -- don't expect to for at least another month.
Hello, I know this topic has been addressed before but nothing is working for me. I have a bunch of Sonos Playlists that I use on my restaurant and all of the sudden a lot of songs in those playlists show this error. I have restarted all my devices and router but stilts same problem. Reauthorize my music services and nothing. Can some one please help? Thanks!
Sorry, I don't know if anyone is watching the thread marked as resolved so I'm reposting my issue here. I really need help getting this fixed please! Can someone please help me?? I've tried restarting my router, and unplugged my Boost and speakers for a minute then plugged back in. Spotify is still having trouble connecting. It will play a song or two and then just stop and not connect. I submitted diagnostics. Here is the confirmation #: 6671389 PLEASE HELP. We are having a party today and relying on this new system working.
I'm curious about finding a solution to an issue that has arisen using Sonos at work. We would like to connect my personal Apple Music account to our work Sonos speakers but my phone is connected via Wifi and the work computer is connected to internet using a landwire. I suppose they are on different networks. I'm wondering if we can find a solution. Previously it was working well because both Sonos and my phone were connected to the same Wifi. We have had to change that and I subsequently changed my AppleMusic password and have been asked to reauthorize. Thanks!
I am unable to get my iPhone SONOS app to locate the music on my phone. When I go into the SONOS app and select On this iPhone the app says "No selections are available" I used to be able to access the music but I discovered that the music on my phone vanished, I think after an iOS update. I have since downloaded my music from the cloud and it is now on the phone because I can play it through the normal music app on the phone and the phone is showing over a thousand songs. Also, the SONOS system is working because I can play a radio station through the system from my phone
Up to a few months ago the combination of sonos and Deezer was exactly what I wanted. Choice of music, Flac for best quality. Combined with my Musical Fidelity DAC and Paradigm speakers this was simply paradise. But these days are gone. One of the best features of Deezer, Spotify etc is the ability to share friends playlist and music, and this was possible to do with Sonos. But 3 months ago this capability was removed!!! Why on earth did Sonos (or Deezer) do this??!! It was working great! It was a great feature when I had friends come over with Deezer accounts. Having removed this feature has made me detest my Sonos every time my friend Frank comes over and all we want to do is enjoy listening to music. Nothing more nothin less. Sure I can log in his account but it is a PITA. Sonos claims that it is Deezer who did it and trying to contact Deezer is impossible. This makes me doubt about all these updates and streaming music services. I have no control about the functionality I am
I have a technics CD player and Denon turntable with PreAmp. I want to play through my Sonos system. (2 x Play3, 2 x Play1 plus Sonos Connect). Both the CD and Turntable have the Red and White cables. The CD also has Digital Optical Out. I can play either the CD player or Turntable by connecting the Red and White cables to the 'Analog Audio In' on the Connect. But is there a way of connecting both the CD and Turntable to the Connect so I don't have to keep disconnecting cables. I tried connecting an Optical cable from the CD player to the Optical cable on the connect but the cable, firstly, does not seem to connect securely to the Sonos Connect and there is no Sound. Any thoughts or solutions appreciated. Thanks Kevin.
In the last 2 releases of both the Mac and iOS Controller app (version 5.4 and 5.5), Spotify folders have been removed. Which is beyond baffling. I've submitted feedback and diagnostics through Sonos and have been looking for either: 1) an update to bring folders back or 2) a source to revert back to the good ol' days of 5.3 I have over 50 playlists so having a large list is really un-helpful.
Been using Sonos for about 2 years, and use it with Pandora flawlessly for 8+ hours a day. Use it occasionally with Spotify, but lately Spotify has become increasingly unreliable. The last few times I tried to play Spotify, I just get error after error about the connection being lost. Playing spotify on my computer and phone, however, work perfectly. What's up with Sonos & Spotify not talking to eachother???
