I have a Spotify family account and am trying to connect multiple Spotify accounts to Sonos. We have been on sonos and using spotify on it for a few years (prior to being able to control sonos through spotify). We used to use my account (the main account at spotify) to play spotify on sonos but at one point I disconnected my spotify from sonos and started using my wife's account ( a member that I added to our family plan). My kids can join Sonos on our family plan and this works fine but for some reason I am unable to reconnect my account to Sonos. I receive the error that my account is already setup and there is no need to add it again. I can't find my account anywhere in Sonos ( only my wife & kids) and the link in the spotify app (only my phone) will not connect to sonos.
I’m so happy with both my play one I thought about adding a sound bar. I can’t justify the spend on the x2 more expensive ones but the beam sounds excellent for what I’ll use it for. I’ve saved my fathers day 15% discount from Spotify but it’s not being accepted at the checkout. Was there a time limit I didn’t notice or something? Should I be contacting Spotify instead? Am I just cheap?
Was just reading an article about the pros and cons of the SiriusXM purchase of Pandora deal. One point was talking about how SiriusXM will get Pandoras subscribers. Its said hopefully Sirius can manage to get them to paid (most are free subscribers). Talking about Pandora it said "the company hasn't been very successful in moving its freemium members to its paid tier" LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am a SiriusXM subscriber and was a premium Pandora subscriber up until the first of the year. I cancelled my premium Pandora because of one simple thing...… They started sorting the channels by date not name last fall in my Sonos app! Wrote them several emails, eventually told them I would be cancelling, no care in the world from Pandora. So I dropped them. Not hard to see why they can get premium subscribers when they don't even care when they lose one, LOL! Maybe my Sirius subscription will give me Pandora as part of my subscription. And maybe, just maybe, they might be able
Hey guys, whenever I play music via AirPlay with multiple devices (iPhone + MacBook) and put a song with the other device in the playlist via "add as next title", the music keeps going but I don't hear anything anymore. I just need to pause and play again on any device to hear something again. If I put the song at the end of the playlist or use the same device and put it as "add as next title", the problem doesn't happen. What can I do? Is it a mistake on Sonos side?
This one has me stumped: I have identical music files on my desktop windows computer at home and on my laptop windows computer in my apartment. After a recent controller update, neither set of files in were indexed by track number in albums - they all appeared alphabetically (terrible for operas and musicals!). Then, after a more recent controller update, one computer is back to listing/playing songs by track number, but the other is not. What gives? Anyone else with this problem?
Hi there. I have a Sonos Play 5 and 2 Play 1's snd I have just installed Plex on my home PC. I'm guessing I gave all the latest versions as Sonos is up to date and Plex is a new install. I have wanted to play flac files to Sonos for a while plus access my media elsewhere. So I'm testing Plex out and currently have 4 music albums in the flac format to do the evaluation with. I have been using Sonos for years with Amazon music locker (now discontinued) and more recently Google. Both of those services worked just fine and brought great pleasure. Although the Amazon service was a pig to use. Anyway I always wanted to play flac. So I thought I’d give Plex a try. It kinda works sometimes and sounds great when it does. However 90% of the time it drops out, won’t play at all or won’t connect and so on with Sonos anyway. My android phone seems to connect OK to the server via the app and stream music just fine but this is clearly no good as I want the music into Sonos. I guess
Some of my iTunes playlists do not show up completely in Sonos. I've noticed that they do show up as 'Compilations' even though they are not. For example, one album i have has 4 tracks. They are all stored identically on iTunes. Yet on Sonos when I look at the Group it only shows two songs. Yet all the songs show up if I do a search on imported playlists or the actual album name. They also show up if i do a search on compilations. on iTunes there is a box to tick for compilation albums. This box is not ticked, so why is it happening??
I have seen some topics on using a VPN to access Pandora through Sonos. I had pandora from 2012 until they pulled out of OZ, recently I got them back - as a paid user [which I have always been - $3.99/month] and started playing them on my Sonos system However I then found that I was getting the - "You are not Authorised to use this service" - it took a while to work around, but I set my country in Sonos as the US, and discovered that if I used the Manage Service Settings whenever I wanted to listen to Pandora I could get it to work [although when they drop out after a time I also have to re-authorise it again] So what I am doing is using the VPN to be in the US, re-authorising Pandora each session and enjoying Pandora I have seen various topics where it is said that you have to get all of the Sonos system behind the VPN for success but obviously that's wrong Now I am hunting for a way to not have the fuss of re-authorising the service each time - I know that there are heaps
Hi, my sonos beam is still skipping songs from spotify. Have tried change all the channels, but still have the same issue. Have tried assigned a reserved ip address on sonos beam, and still have the same issue. Have tried reboot the router and sonos, but still issue persists. I am using sonos beam and connected to wireless router, and my iphone/ipad is the sonos controller. Here is the diagnostic number 1549463178.
Hello While Sonos is able to filter explicit lyrics (content) for some music services there others it cannot. Below are two links that may help: Parental Control Option by Sonos: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3509?language=en_US Cnet General How-to-Guide: https://www.cnet.com/how-to/block-explicit-lyrics-in-music-subscription-services/ Cheers!
I have recently had to replace my NAS drive and set up my Sonos again with the newly created music library. I noticed that several albums are not showing in my list of albums. I have noticed that all the albums that are called "Greatest Hits" are missing from the list of albums in my music library. However if I browse the artist all the missing Greatest Hits albums are visible in the list of albums next to each artist. There may be other missing albums but I have yet to find them. All are M4a format and I have checked that the metadata seems to be correctly recorded in iTunes via the Get Info route. Can anyone suggest what I can do to make these albums visible under the list of albums in my music library?
I'm having a Sonos one and play 1 grouped and try to use them as speakers when watching Netflix on my Macbook. The connection with Airplay 2 works well and stable, but the voice has a slight delay and is not in sync with the movie. Does anyone have an idea how to fix it / get it synchronised?
All of my speakers are grouped together (i.e. I selected play "everywhere"). After connecting via Airplay 2 to one of the SONOS One speakers, the remaining Airplay 2 capable speakers drop out from the group and I have to re-group them. My older speakers (without Airplay 2 capability, such as Play 3s), are still in the original group. Does anyone else have this problem?
I know this was a while ago but has anybody resolved this? I’ve been trying to add all songs from Apple Music (about 20,000 tracks) into the queue and get a 1002 error every time. I can load my library of a similar size without problems but obviously that way I don’t get any additional tracks I’ve added from Apple Music. Any ideas? Alternatively does anyone know of a way to make a smart playlist that includes only tracks added from Apple Music i.e. not part of my downloaded library?
I've been a Sonos owner for several years and pretty happy up to now. I've also been using Apple Music for a while but just recently decided to take the plunge and use iCloud with Apple Music, stop buying music and just stream. So now I am relying on iCloud and not a "Music Library" stored on a computer. One thing I have noticed is that for large playlists (I have one I play often that is 5000+ songs) it takes a long time for the Sonos app. to recognize and start playing it (like 5 minutes or more) and errors out several times before I can get it to work. Smaller playlists do not have this problem. If I play the playlist through my phone (using iCloud not files local on the phone) just to play on my phone not Sonos it plays immediately. I really would like to see this issue fixed/improved. I don't understand technically what it's actually doing that takes so long but it's really frustrating and annoying. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS, it's so awful.
I have just added "Now That's What I Call Music 100" to my collection and unfortunately the issue I was expecting to occur has arisen - Now 100 is now appearing after Now 10 and before Now 11 in the list of albums. This isn't just a Sonos issue, the same issue occurs when viewing my Google Play Music library in a browser. Google Play on my phone handles it however and puts it after 99 as expected. I got round the issue by renaming the first 9 as 01, 02, 03 etc, but I don't really want to do 001, 002, 003 etc. for the first 99 in the collection. I use both Google Play and a local NAS based library - Both methods of viewing the albums through the Sonos app have this issue. I imagine this will be easier to fix (and more likely) with music services, rather than the local "Music Library" indexed by Sonos. Please can this be urgently fixed? Any suggestions in the meantime? Many thanks Darren
I have two sonos play 5 (gen2) and one sonos subwoofer installed in my room. When I use Spotify, or tune in radio everything works perfect, but using airplay2, is a kind of nightmare. The music from speakers are sometimes not sync, and regularly cutting out. Usually just after 6 minutes of playing the system stabilized. I’m using a Apple TV to stream the music. What to do? I have a WiFi network really stabilized, once again, this problem is just when I use aiplay2.
I'm having trouble with my SONOS One playing the RadioPlayer skill. When I ask Alexa to play a station with the proper command she confirms the station but then says "Sorry, I'm having trouble with that skill right now". Alexa works properly for weather and other queries. #loveSONOS #saditdoesn'twork
Being continually dissatisfied with the appalling TuneIn's ability to find podcasts or "Listen Again" programmes, I thought I would try Radioplayer. Sadly, what works fine on the desktop or standalone app, but fails dismally once integrated within Sonos. A simple search for a programme within the standalone RadioPlayer and TuneIn apps, produces many results. Sadly, of course, neither allow casting to my Sonos. An identical search from either app within Sonos, produces the annoying "programme not found" message. How can this be? I have given up chasing Sonos to integrate iPlayer radio within their system, as they ignore all references to it. I have also chased the BBC to integrate with Sonos, but that also appears to fall on deaf ears. Yet both sides are happy to allow casting to Google devices. Does anyone have any ideas what is going so wrong?
Hi! I'm looking for speakers that I can put in my shower, bedroom and living room to stream podcasts/music/youtube to from my iphone. I'd like to be able to have the podcast playing on multiple speakers at once so I can walk around in my house without missing anything. I thought maybe the Sonos Play 1 (or perhaps the Sonos One) might be good to use for this, but I'm not sure if it is possible to stream podcasts from an actual podcast app. I can't really find a lot of information about it. I'm now using the Castro podcast app, but of course using another app is also an option, as long as it works. I don't want to use another service if that includes extra ads and/or an extra subscription fee. I'm also unclear if it is possible to stream YouTube to these speakers and have that play on all speakers simultaneously. Last of all: which Sonos speaker might be best to use in a shower room? They're all using electrical outlets so I'm not sure if it's a good idea at all. Any tips/advice
