I have a curated playlist on my iphone app that I have added to my playlists. I’ve downloaded the entire catalogue and even created an additional playlist (a copy of the original) on the app. None of these are showing up on Sonos. I searched for the curated list on Sonos, and it showed up in the search. However, when I clicked on the list it was empty.Any suggestions? I’ve seen old threads talking about the difference between iTunes and Apple Music, but surely that silliness has been solved with Sonos after two years.
I have all my music stored locally on my iPad for when I travel. I have a mobile router WiFi that I use in the van for network and internet. My phone, iPad and 2 Sonos Roams are connected to this network. I can use the iPad Music app and stream music from it to the Roams via Airplay, but I notice that when I am doing this and I open the Sonos app, it shows what’s playing and let’s me control volume, EQ settings, pause etc. But when I go to look for another album etc, I have to go back to the iPad Music app. Is there a way to add the music stored locally on the app directly to the Sonos app? I could then utilise the Sonos app via the network, rather than Airplay and have full control (using Airplay, I can’t adjust volume separately for each speaker etc.). I tried adding a source from Music Library settings in Sonos app, but it wants a network path that I have no idea what to put there for access to the iPad. Thanks for any advice.BTW, those little Roam speakers are sensational, the best
Hello. It’s been a while since the Soundcloud stream started cutting off: I always see only 10 records. However the Stream should be infinite. I don’t see the same problem in “Likes” or “New & Hot” sections. The problem appears in both Sonos iOS mobile and Mac desktop apps. I’ve submitted diagnostics, mu number is 691637994
Frisky radio cuts out repeatedly regardless of wired/wifi connection. In my experience, this has been an long term, ongoing issue with the Tunein radio service. I do not know how to rectify this playback fault. If anyone has any insight into a fix please advise.
I’ve viewed many threads on this topic, we are using Sonos in our new brewery, we do a reset of our entire network twice a week, it is a must due to the amount of wireless traffic we supply/use for both us and our customers. Our speakers are 20 feet in the air and plugged in the ceiling (old commercial building), so plugging/un-plugging is not an option. Any other suggestions, we need help quickly as we open tomorrow. Thanks, Don
As per the title really. I have a server running Airsonic (advanced) in Docker and finally pieced together how to get it to interact directly with the Sonos ecosystem. It’s much snappier than simplying “adding a folder” from my NAS or workstation. This should be extremely similar for subsonic, madsonic etc.Let me know if any questions:https://www.thesmarthomebook.com/2022/04/04/add-an-airsonic-music-server-to-sonos/
I’ve been trying to subscribe to Radio HD for about three months without luck. When I select sign up for free trial it kicks me back to a profile page. This happens on different PCs with different browsers. I’ve contacted support and frankly they were worthless. Here is a short video that is occurring:https://www.screencast.com/t/KWc6smknNWBI thought perhaps it was a temporary issue. Sometimes I will get a popup, short 1-2 seconds that states that it is temporarily down. I waited several weeks to see what would happen. Same problem. I thought I would email the CEO on the support page. Of course, that link doesn’t work. This is ridiculous. I have about 20k of Sonos stock that I’m going to dump as soon as I can. I thought this was a buying opportunity for Apple, Wrong.
As of this week, I have not been able to access BBC radio stations on the Radioplayer service. When I look at the A-Z Station List, there are no BBC stations listed. They are listed on the Radioplayer website. Am I the only person with this problem? Is there any way to get the BBC stations back?I would switch to BBC Sounds, but it does not appear to be possible to add stations to “My Sonos” using the Android S1 phone app.
Hi, Today I’ve been listening to my Apple Music playlist via the Sonos Apple Music service (NOT streamed via AirPlay 2).I noticed that some songs were louder than others during playback and I know that if I was streaming from my phone they’d be at the same volume with sound check enabled (which it is on my phone). Is there an equivalent function in the Sonos settings that will achieve the same as Apple’s sound check? If there was I’d not have to keep upping and lowering the volume.CheersWhingbag
I have a sonos connect. I can either:a: have my flac files on plex and play them through sonosb: use the sonos app on the mini to add those files to my music library and play from there.I've had some issues with b since i think the sampling rate on some of the files is not supported by sonos. However using plex to transcode seems to work for all music files. Is there any issue with going through plex vs. the sonos music library in terms of sound quality?
App improvement suggestion…In the Sonos app, when searching Spotify, would it be possible to clearly differentiate an artists full length albums from their singles and other songs? The Spotify app itself has a ‘Show Discography’ button, that clearly shows all albums and the year they were released by an artist. This tiny change would make the app experience so much better. I often find myself having to go to the Spotify app to first confirm the latest album released by an artist, then going into the Sonos app to select it from (what appears to me to be) a jumble of songs - EPs, albums, singles - in no defined order. It does appear that, in the Sonos app, the latest release by an artist is the top result, but even a year next to this would help to confirm.
Hi all, Recently bought the arc and 2 Ones as surrounds. I decided to use amazon music instead of Spotify because quality is superior. Every time I try to play music through the Amazon Music app, it immediately disconnects from my sonos. I can use amazon music through Sonos app no problem and can use amazon music through voice assist. Any idea how to resolve this problem. Thanks in advance.
I have a Sonos Beam connected to my TV via eArc with two Sonos One surrounds as my home theatre system. In addition, I have two Sonos Ones in my bedroom and one in the kitchen, too. Plus, two HomePods in the mix. If I’m watching a program on my Apple TV and then switch the tv off to listen to music from my iPhone’s Apple Music app thru any speaker in my house, the Apple TV insists on to playing the previous tv show thru all the speakers. The Apple TV actually switches the song out for the TV show. It takes at least 15 minutes to convince the Apple TV to give up control. Sometimes I just want to through the Apple TV out. Is there anything I have mis-configured?
Hello: I make my playlists from Apple Music and then move then to Sonos. On playback I notice some tracks are not as loud as others, needing a change in volume! Is there a way of having a standard music level for all tracks within the playlist?Grateful for any help or advice please. This isn’t a big problem but I seem to change the playback level often when listening. I am looking to stop this if possible. I happens when I use both iOS and Apple Mac controllers. Thx. Mike
when adding pandora to sonos system. Now the first prompt you see after selecting activate is a new step to put in an activation code. There is no information on where this code is located. This is new. I’m a dealer in Tampa Fl and have done 100’s of systems and have never seen this. Anyone else running into this?
Today I started testing Amazon Music HD, and I see the HD tag when playing music on Beam, I know that Sonos announced that the Play:1 does not support HD, but I know that for example, they work with Dolby Atmos when connected to an Arc. Does the same thing happen when they are connected to Beam? That is, if I group the Play:1 with the Beam, will the Play:1 play music in HD?
It would seem that quite frequently most of the CBC Music On Air stations disappear, the CBC Radio One stations seem to be unaffected. Specifically I frequently listen to On Air Pacific and use it for my wake up alarm. While I know that I can access this station via TuneIn, there’s two problems with that. Typically when you start a stream from a TuneIn station, they play that loud “Tune IN!” clip at the start akin to Netflix’s launch noise, this is not exactly how I want to be woken up but would prefer a soft fade in of whatever CBC is broadcasting. Secondly, I’ve noticed that when I use the TuneIn stream, not long after we start listening, it will start to suffer from audio drops every 30 seconds or so which makes for a terrible listening experience. If I browse to CBC’s website, the streams missing from Sonos are available so I can’t help but wonder if the Sonos app has a timeout set wherein the music service’s list of offerings loads and this timeout is simply too low or CBC’s respon
