Phone finds Sonos and connects but when trying to play from Google Play the app glitches between play and pause with no sound then advances to the next song. This is a new issue and I have changed nothing about the system other than software updates as suggested. Please help.
For some reason, I cannot use the ‘My Music’ function of the Apple Music Service anymore. It displays “We’ve run into a problem. Try again.” I have deleted the app on all my devices, reinstalled. I’ve deleted the service and reauthorized. I’ve reset my router. Apple Music works fine. It’s only within the Sonos app that the error occurs. Please help. Family account if that matters, and both users experience this.
Hey folks, can anyone explain how Sonos can keep running when I've turned off not just the app on my phone, but my phone itself? I couldn't get Sonos to pause or change inputs, so I turned off my phone altogether, but it kept running. I had to do a hard pause at the speaker to stop it. Obviously, my wifi network was still up, but I don't understand how Sonos could continue to operate without the app or the internet appliance to direct the signal.
I want to link my Sonos to a different Spotify Family Account - I travel a lot and keep getting kicked out when I'm listening to Spotify whilst away because the family are listening to Spotify on the Sonos at home at the same time and it won't support multiple playback devices simultaneously. I've created a Family Account in Spotify for the Sonos but when I delete the current Spotify Service in my Sonos account and then go to add it back it defaults back to my existing Spotify account and won't let me select a different one. I suspect I will need to create a new Sonos Account as well but before I do I just wanted to check that I wasn't missing something? Thx
I can't figure out how to get Siri working now that we have AirPlay2. I have added the speakers to HomeKit, setup them up in their named rooms but when I ask Siri to "play Dave Matthews in Living Room" she works for a second then says she's unable to play that. I have Dave Matthews songs downloaded on my phone (ie not trying to stream them from the cloud). For clarify, if I don't have the speaker added to HomeKit properly then Siri will reply, "I can't find that device". So her saying "I am unable to play that" is a different error. I do not have the "Apple Music" service but I have songs that are purchased from the iTunes store that are either on my phone or "on the cloud" so I can download them. I am able to play the "cloud" songs without downloading them directly to my phone and use AirPlay to send them to any of my Sonos One speakers. Any ideas?
Hello everyone! I'm very new to Sonos system, got a setup of a beam and 2 play:1 as LL and RL. The beam is connected to the router via LAN cable, the play:1 are on the own Sonos wireless network. I'm very happy with the sound quality, there is though one thing that still bothers me. The Sonos app has an option to change "Show Media Servers" and "Show UPnP Servers", both are set to off. However, the servers are still visible on the local network. Is there a way to fix it? I use a Synology system as local media server and don't really need another server solution.
Hi I am setting up my new Sonos One and I can not make it work with Facebook. When watching video I switch to play on Sonos but, no sound coming out. If I click on the volume up or down controls on the Sonos, I can see the sound indicator on my iPad changing but, no sound...
I have been a long time member of Sonos so when I started Rhapsody was my main music service to build playlists. Over time I have added a few more music services but always the playlists that I created were with Rhapsody and/or my music digital music library. I'm now pretty pumped that CD quality is now finally available with Deezer however the problem is how do I copy my existing playlists? I have several categories' totally like 250 songs that were all added manually over time to each playlist. In the past I would search and then add each song to the playlist but now I just want to move to another service. At first I was told that the playlist is with Rhapsody but I don't think so as its listed on Sonos only. There also seems to be no way to even copy the playlist either within sonos to like Excel either. I have contacted Sonos and apparently they do not have any idea on how to move a playlist to another service. This is disappointing in that they have many many music
I’d like to connect an internet music service live stream on my Macbook Pro laptop to my Sonos system. While Sonos does provide access to many internet streaming services, I have a subscription to Hearts of Space and so am not limited by predefined music that the service chooses to air through the Sonos arrangement. I can select anything from their entire library. Is is possible therefore to get the audio ouput from my Macbook Pro streamed to my Sonos system? Any help much appreciated!
Hi everyone, I've been searching online for days about this and I have yet to find any instructions. How do you add multiple Spotify accounts to your Sonos system? (Android) Every time I go to add a new account it gives me an error message of “Spotify account is already set up on your Sonos. No need to install it again.” Im not trying to setup a new service, I want to add multiple accounts. Sonos completely miss out this step on their online FAQ section which says: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3624?language=en Adding additional accounts Adding another music service account follows the same process outlined in our Add a music service to Sonos article. (Not relevant as I dont want to add another service. There is a hyperlink in this sentence which takes you to another page with instructions to add another service. When i try do this anyway, it gives me the error message above I described) If one or more accounts have already been added for a music service, you'll see eac
Hello, I've just invested in a QNAP TS-412 and am trying to get SONOS to stream music direct from the server instead of relying on the PC as the source... but SONOS doesn't find the QNAP server when trying an automatic network scan, and when entering the directory manually, it always states I don't have user permission to access the drive (even though no usernames are set). I've tried putting in the local admin username and password as well - still no joy. I loaded the QPKG version of TwonkyServer via the app service on the server, and can see the SONOS devices are seen by TwonkyServer. I try to access the QNAP server via the SONOS controller (via my iphone or PC) using the link //192.168.0.1/Multimedia/MUSIC... (MUSIC folder I set-up with all my MP3 tunes in) but it always states I have no access, user denied. Is this a known compatibility issue or is there a setting I'm missing? Any help greatly appreciated as this is driving me mad!! Thanks in advance Phil
Hi all, I know you battled this a lot last year. I am close to the time to renew on MLB and Sonos support is a major decision factor. I also have the need to build out a system for another house and MLB is a major decision to buy more Sonos. Has anyone heard an update on this for '19? I am also going to ask MLB and will post what I get back. Thanks Scott
I've been adding songs I like to a Sonos Playlist. I've just realised I've ended up with a number of duplicate tracks. I naively though that the software would be intelligent enough to not list the same track twice within a playlist. How can I resolve this? I've got too many to manually scroll through and delete. This might be possible if you could sort your playlist by artist or alphabetically, but these are not options either...
OK, there are plenty of requests here for bluetooth, and lots of discussion about why wifi is better. Agreed, I guess. But i cringe whenever I see my wife listening to an unsupported service out of here phone speaker, sitting right next to one of our sonos units! Sonos, Can't you just create a bluetooth like wifi app that just plays whatever audio is on your phone? Seems like there is a completely tone deaf approach by sonos engineering that is not recognizing the reality of how most people want to consume music/audio. Personally, i think the supported apps approach is great. But I also want the flexibility to "just play something" when the situation calls for it. In short, Please get your $*** together.
