I’ve got Apple music as a service. Some of my tracks are randomly greyed out now in playlists. They are fully available in Apple Music and play fine in iTunes from the same playlist. I do NOT have any parental crap turned on inside the Sonos app. I’ve dropped and re-added the Apple Music service in Sonos.Still greyed out tracks. My brother has a similar system and is noticing the same crap.Any solution?
I just signed up for the Sonos Radio HD service. When I go to browse the Sonos Radio music service there has been no change and I can't see any of the HD radio stations. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My whole system has been upgraded to S2 and my Sonos account is based in the UK. Thanks.
This is an odd one. I have listened to WXPN (U of Penn, Philadelphia) on Sonos for years. Last week it stopped working on Sonos. I am running S1with a variety of legacy and new gear. When I start WXPN through TuneIn on a zone, the stream immediately flips from PLAYING back to STOPPED - every time I click PLAY it immediately flips to STOP Other stations work fine through TuneIn - WXPN is the only one with an issue (that I have found) Even sister stream XPN2 still plays on Sonos through TuneIn I went to a friend and saw the same behavior (also running S1) WXPN plays perfectly through the TuneIn iPhone app (not is Sonos)I spent an hour on the phone with Sonos support (before our connection dropped)Running diagnostics (even run while trying to start WXPN repeatedly) the rep saw nothing odd that indicated an issue We tested WXPN through (Sonos) TuneIn, Sonos Radio and (Sonos Radio.Net) - all had the same behavior - clicking PLAY immediately flipped to STOP; all other radio stations thro
I just noticed that my Sonos system adjusts the volume automatically between loud and quiet songs. I haven’t noticed this before. It is extremely annoying, and especially noticeable when I play an album where the songs run into each other. The system also inserts a little gap between the songs. ALSO extremely annoying. I tried playing the same music files on another player, and there is no difference in the volume and no gap between the songs on that player, so it’s not the files that are ripped that way, it is the Sonos system that plays around with the volume. Like I said, I’ve never noticed it before. What has happened? Where do I turn it off?
So, when Android users are going to get feature parity with iOS users? It's been a long time since Airplay 2 was implemented and so far nothing on Chromecast. Only Spotify (thanks to Spotify Connect) allows Android users to cast directly from the app, no other app can do it.Why the preferential treatment if Sonos charge the same to everyone? Is it because Sonos executives use iOS devices or what? The Sonos app is bad for everything but configuring the devices and it shouldn't be forced down the throat of customers to replace their chosen service app, it's user hostile and breaks usability.
I use google play on my sonos system to listen to podcasts. When I open google play, through sonos, I've always had the option to choose music library or podcasts. When I opened it up this morning, it took me straight into the music library and there was no place to access my podcasts. The name of my account also changed from Gary's Google Account to "Gary's Google Cloud". My wife's account still operates the same way mine used to. Why would this change have happened and how can I change it back? I've tried deleting and re-adding the account with no change.
I've stored all my personal music on OneDrive (more than 20K songs i.e. about 100Gb). I use to play this music using Groove and it worked perfectly. Also it has been very easy to stream the music directly to my SONOS system since Groove has been added among Sonos services. But GROOVE commercial service ended on December 31st. If we can't buy music from Groove anymore, I can still use Groove as a player (to enjoy my music on my phone or my PC for instance). But the SONOS - Groove integration is not working anymore ... In this context, does anyone has a solution to stream OneDrive Music to SONOS system ?
Sonos Support on Twitter seems to suggest that Arc supports streaming of TIDAL Atmos tracks; however, there is a curious inclusion of “when using a compatible TV” in their response. Has anyone tried this yet or know if the music has to be streamed through the TV source first rather than directly from the Sonos or TIDAL apps to the Arc? “... With S2, 24 bit audio is now supported for Music Library and NAS shares. You can also preview Dolby Atmos Music on TIDAL when using a compatible TV with the new Sonos Arc.” Link: https://twitter.com/sonossupport/status/1270038144889638916?s=21
Implementation is simple and intuitive. From the Pandora app send any station or song or album to any Sonos speaker group in your environment, volume control, and can change groups. More advanced features you must enter the Sonos, but it's more than enough from within Pandora. Flip-side is that everything is available from within Sonos now as well. It's just what I've been hoping for all these past months. Great implementation impressions from my first glances. See ya later Spotify and Deezer.
We all understand that communication regarding new functionality cannot necessarily be transparent to customers. But YOU promised an integration to Alexa by summer and did not deliver. You postpone and demur. Your loss of brand trust is STAGGERING. Loyal customers may not be bolting but we no longer TRUST YOU. Tell us when an Amazon Alexa integration will happen, or at least tell us that you are having changes meeting the goal. Either would be fine; but to back away from previous promises and chide users that inquiry is the VERY WORST THING YOU CAN DO. Speak clearly. Honestly. Value loyal customers. Even if it is not what we want to hear.
Sorry, NOT playing entire Library Songs. The YTMusic app on Sonos offers to stream my Library’s collection of Songs but only seems to be capturing a very, very small fraction of my entire Songs collection. Is there a way to be sure and get all my Songs shuffled through on the Sono’s app? The ‘Your Mix’ option is misleading as well. It creatively mixes in new ‘recommended’ songs which I’m not interested in so that’s not a solution. I want all my Songs streaming from my LIbrary collection, please, not some limited selection. Thanks, comments please.
Hi, I have recently started experiencing poor quality audio from ABC stations. More specifically i listen to Triple J, but am having problems with most (maybe all) ABC stations. Since about a week ago (16 dec 2015) this started. I've contacted SONOS, TUNEIN and ABC. I believe the stream i was listening to will be turned off in early 2016. On their web page ABC have a few links to direct streams but the quality does not seem to be any better. SONOS also provided a few different direct streams but no good. TUNEin have no control of the stream they receive so they were of no help. To give you an idea of the quality, i have to turn up the sonos controller to about 3/4 volume and not crisp at all. When i change it to another source that volume is way too loud for normal listening. Am playing through a stereo pair of play 5's (gen2) living area and 3 play 1's in other rooms. I was wondering if others are experiencing this problem (they should be if its a stream issue) and
I'm getting this message intermittently. I've cleared ALL other users/devices, other than my own iPhone, from my Amazon account. But still get message. Interestingly, Sonos didn't show as a 'device' in the Amazon music list of 'authorised devices' but still plays, most of the time. Anybody else having this problem or know what I've done wrong or what the problem is?
Dkfm lite, which is a pre-defined Tunein channel in the Sonos controller. I only have this problem when listening through Sonos. When I listen on my Mac via the web player, I don't have this issue. The sonos scenario is: select the station, it plays fine, then a commercial block, then after the last commercial plays out, sikence & the Sonos controller shows the "Play" button (indicating the stream is currently stopped). I don't think this is a BW or other Internet issue as it happens consistently at the end of a block of commercials. Since I don't have this problem when listening via the web, it seems that Tunein is maybe doing something that the Sonos streamer doesn't like when transitioning from a commercial back to the music stream?
I understand that the inability to play iPlayer catch up through Sonos is a long ongoing and now almost boring conversation, but what I don't understand is if my Pure Jongo Bluetooth speaker can playback iPlayer catchup via the BBC iPlayer app on my phone, then just why the blazes can't this feature be made available on Sonos? Do I need to wait for Bluetooth on Sonos before I buy anymore speakers, something else that Sonos don't seem to like?
I have noticed that when I use Sonos to stream music from Spotify, those songs do not appear in my Spotify music history. Are those streams still being recorded by Spotify (so that artists are still being paid for the streams)? If so, is it possible to have those streams show up in my Spotify account? Cheers, Tony
Hey guys, Here is my question. I am preparing to greatly expand my Sonos setup and reconfigure my library. It is going to be an undertaking but will ultimately yield good results. The first step in the process is going to be re-ripping my entire CD collection (about 500 discs) into a lossless format, most likely ALAC. As a part of the process I will also be moving from an Apple Time Capsule to a more sonos friendly NAS solution. This leads to my question of which option is best - would love your thoughts: Used G4 Mac Mini + 1 TB External Hard drive Specs: Mac Mini G4 (1.25 GHz, 512 MB Ram) Cost: Mac Mini - $175 + Hard Drive - $160 Total: $335 Benefits: - full computer - easy to automate ripping - can serve as a headless unit - easy to upgrade Downsides: - slow processor - must be on all the time Vortexbox - 1 TB Standalone Cost: $379 Benefits: - automates ripping - serves as a headless unit Downsides - not a full computer - not o
