Frisky radio stations no longer working on Sonos since app update

Hi, just wonder if anyone else has had the same problem with not being able to access the radio station, ‘Frisky’ (Radio, Chill or Deep stations) on their Sonos since the recent (Aug 2020) app update?

Worked fine before that, but I notice that the title ‘Frisky’ is now shown in italics in the list and wondered if this meant something? Tried updating the app (iPhone and Mac), deleting and reinstalling, removing the stations and re-adding them, but nothing seems to work.

If you are in the UK and these stations are in other countries you will not be able to connect to then via tunein.  There are other ways though.  Check this thread for why and the work arounds:-

Many thanks bockersjv. I’ve written to Frisky to see if they have a way around this block (direct URL to the particular station(s) for example, which doesn’t exist currently).

Update from Frisky Radio … 

TuneIn was illegally and without our knowledge or consent redistributing our music streams on their network. And they were profiting off those streams by selling advertising on top of them.  Obviously this was illegal and had to be stopped. 

 

We will be offering our streams to be playable via Sonos and other devices to our Premium members very soon. For now, Im not sure if you can relay streams from your device or not but we offer free streaming on our webapp or Android / iOS apps.

Just go to https://www.friskyradio.com/ and then at the bottom of the homepage you will see their 3 stations popup.

Yes I love the stations but at home want to play through my sonos speaker and not computer.  On my phone I listen through the app and this is great
