Connect Mac Mini (M1) directly to Playbar

Hi there, since the Mac mini has no optical out I was wondering if someone can guide me what usb dac or other converter should I buy in order to get the best out of my Mac mini. Want to use the playbar with a 5.1 setup in my home office. (Mac to playbar+Sub+2play1)

Use An HDMI splitter or switch with optical output, feed that into the Playbar.

And with a PLAYBAR, you want to be sure to restrict that signal to Dolby Digital only, and not anything else.

How would you do that on a Mac? When I look at the Sonos app during my Mac is playing a movie I see stereo pcm. I have no idea how to fix that. 
 

btw I am using a dock which has a spdif out Signal which is capable to pass through 5.1

I’ve never tried to do it, to be honest, I’d be asking on an Apple forum.
