Hi, I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't find a direct answer. Play:3 does not have a line-in, but is there a way of setting up AirPlay to it?

The play:3 isn't compatible with airplay 2. It doesn't meet the hardware requirements. You can group it with a Sonos product that is airplay 2 compatible though.

Hi kpsin, thanks for asking. Sonos players don't natively support Airplay streaming, because of that, the only way to get that audio into you Sonos system that we support is using the line-in on a Sonos player and sending that audio just as you would with any other line-in source. The PLAY:3, as you said, doesn't have a line-in, but you can send the audio from any player's line-in if you happen to have one available.

There are some other options we've seen mentioned on the community, but none that we can specifically recommend.
You may use airsonos. It's open source software and hosted on Github, see https://github.com/stephen/airsonos. Of course, native support by Sonos would be appreciated...
