Hello, I’m looking for a way to lock my Apple Music account with a password so no one else on the Sonos account can use it. The issue isn’t people on the account but people on my personal Apple Music. Is there a way to password protect personal music streaming accounts?
I find the on-screen graphical user interface volume control overlay to be quite annoying while adjusting the volume up or down during a program or movie. I really don’t understand why it’s there at all, as it does not even give a sound level? Is there a way to turn this off? Thank you for your replies!

Hello.It’s been a while since the Soundcloud stream started cutting off: I always see only 10 records. However the Stream should be infinite. I don’t see the same problem in “Likes” or “New & Hot” sections. The problem appears in both Sonos iOS mobile and Mac desktop apps. I’ve submitted diagnostics, mu number is 691637994
Hi allI have two CR200 running inside an up-to-date S1 system, it works perfectly.I saw this topic here: It works. These devices are one of the reason, why Sonos split the devices into S1 and S2 devices.I have them running since 10 years, and I always did an update. I just recently had to reset my configuration, and it was a challenge to get them back into the system.When adding the CR200, I found, that one player must be connected with a LAN cable to the router directly.It does not work, if the LAN connected player is behind a bridge (what I normally have). After it is added, there still must be one player LAN connected, but then it can be behind a bridge. I guess this has to do with a network broadcast message, which does not go through a bridge. If anyone is interested in more details, feel free to answer here.
Hi, can anybody tell me the vale of resistor R15550, located under the WiFi module?This component is missing on my board ( knocked off and lost by previous “repairer”). Oddly, the player still works, but I would like to replace it.Many thanks for your help, this is my first post!Andy
Hi All,Today I was a bit experimenting with the Qobuz app. I like using the Qobuz app more than the S2 app to be honest. But with the Qobuz app I need to use AirPlay 2. Is the streaming quality the same as using the S2 app? I can’t tell the difference to be honest 🙄Qobuz is claiming to do 24-bit 48 kHz on the Sonos system (if the source is also in that particular quality, if higher, it will get downscaled to 16-bit 44,1 kHz) Should airplay2 deliver the same quality?
I saw that this answer/suggestion has been closed but I think it’s time to realize that customers with thousands of dollars invested into a SONOS system would like to see the functionality of a MOVE system paired with the PLAY 5 Subwoofer once and for all. Yes, the MOVE is designed for playability around the house and in outdoor settings but there are those of us that might have need for the MOVE to be used with a PLAY 5 Subwoofer. SONOS, get to work on this!
We have a Canton sound bar at present on the TV,which could be programmed to use the tv remote control, its ok but nothing spectacular. Listend to a Sonos Beam, not really that impressed. I see Sonos have refurbished playbars for sale, remember listening to them a few years back, very impressive. I was thinking of one to replace the canton. Would a Playbar work with the TV remote, the Canton has an option to programe a TV remote to control it. There is a Sonos One & SL in stereo in the lounge controlled by an echo dot, i wont be needing them with the playbar, but can i leave the Echo dot to use with the playbar mainly for playing Amazon Music. I definetley am not interested in setting them up with the playbar, surround sound doesnt interest us. Any advice appreciated
Hi folks, I’ve got a Sonos arc connected to my Sony TV via hdmi earc and a Sonos boost hardwired to the router. When I group the play 5s and the arc while watching a movie/tv there seems to be a slight timing issue between the output. It’s minor but creates an echoing effect. My objective is to explore having more of a 5.1 effect reaching for a wider sound stage with the play 5s providing the left/right channels. im wondering if an Ethernet cable between arc and plays may provide some connectivity - I’d imagine im not the only one thinking like this?? Anyone else!?
Trying to play a single episode of a podcast from the Stitcher service via the app doesn’t work. If I am in the Stitcher Podcasts section of the app and select an episode and “Play now’ i get the error message “Unable to play <podcast episode name> - access is denied.’ However, if i just select the episode itself, it will play, only it also adds every single other episode of the podcast to my queue, so if I have music or other podcasts already in the queue, they are all moved down hundreds of places. It’s extremely annoying and the error is completely uninformative. It is definitely not an access issue, since the same episode will play if all episodes are added to the queue. This happens consistently with any podcast. Very frustrating bug.
Hi, I’m trying to run the trueplay optimisation but when the noise test starts at the very beginning it seems it never ends. Attached the screenshot. Any advice on how to proceed?I already followed the basic instructions: no noise in he room, no other open apps, no Bluetooth devices connected…thanksN
Hi. I have had a sonos beam for around 8 weeks now and it did work perfectly. The beam keeps intermittently connecting and disconnecting to the tv.It is connected to the tv via an hdmi lead into the hdmi arc port in the tv. I have tried powering everything And reconnecting, i have tried 3 different hdmi leads (which all work on other products fine). I have tried wireless headphones to ensure the tv sound works ok. Has anyone come across this issue before and could help? Thanks
