I’m considering replacing my Bose Lifestyle 650 with an Arc Surround Set. I’m looking to take advantage of Atmos, Sonos streaming and improved connectivity with my LG C2.I already have a pair of Ones and a Gen 3 Sub.Has anyone made this move from the LS650 and can you share your experience? Was there a noticeable difference in the listening experience? Any regrets (besides the cost)?thanks!
Hello all, so I have a beam, mini-sub and (2) ones setup in my home theater and it sounds amazing playing anything through TV. My concern is when I wish to play stereo audio only for music. What is the best settings configuration that will let me achieve stereo through my rear ONES only/mostly?For my rear sonos ones settings I have full selected instead of ambient. And music audio is maxed out all the way to the right (see pic below). It sounds pretty good I think but kinda loud. Is the maxed all the way to the right forcing too many dbs in a type of brick walling sound or is it just maxing the potential of the (2)one speakers? Any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you
Hi,So just recieved my Sonos ARC and was very disapointed to find that I have Audio delay when using it with my PS5 on any setting other than PCM but that means it is only using 2.1ch.Both are connected to my TV with the Sonos Arc connected to the HDMI ARC port.I have looked around already and found many with the same issue but most the posts are years old now so wanted to see if anyone knows a fix for this now?Would a HDMI Arc splitter of some sort help?I have heard of this HDFury Arcana thing, don’t fully understand it but is that something that potentially fix the issue?Sorry for my wording/terminology I am pretty new to trying to set such things up.TV model: Hisense QLED 50U7QFTUKThanks.
Hi FolksI have a two year old Gen 3 Sub connected to Arc and Two Sonos 1 surrounds in my lounge. The Gub has started to emit a cracking/electric noise intermittently. It also sounds like running water - it’s the most bizarre noise. I have rebooted, disconnected, etc, etc. I can see others appear to have similar issues. I’ve tried the Sonos virtual assistant but that was just infuriating. I intend to call Sonos next week, but would value any advice. Thank you, Mike.
Got all my new Home theater stuff today. Arc,Sub, pair of 1s. Connected to my Samsung Frame via existing 30’ HDMI 2.1 cable as my conduit runs to the attic and back down to the front of my fireplace.first issue is that the HDMI didn’t fit the connection very well. It’s loose and if you move the sound bar, it disconnects. So just ordered another HDMI cable. we were about 2 hours into “No Time To Die” and the system went crazy. It sounded to me like all the speakers were being over driven and constantly cracking. It had to be at full volume. Sent my wife and dogs running to another room. I don’t know if it quit on it’s on or when I paused the movie but it felt like a minimum of 30 seconds. anyway after seeing others with the same issue with the Beams, I unplugged everything and went to bed. I’ve been waiting since the middle of summer to purchase the gear. I’m hoping Sonos tech support has some good answers when I call them otherwise I’ll be sorely disappointed.
I just got my Beam Gen2, and I connect it to my TV with HDMI (eARC) Port.My Xbox series X is connecting to another HDMI port on my TV.But I found that my Xbox not recognize any dolby atoms device, I did some research online, the above connection method should be able to do the bypass.See if anyone have this experience about it. Thanks
Sonos Arc is connected to Samsung 65inch Terrace TV thru eArc.. When the TV is turned off the Sonos Arc gets diconnected and is not visible to the TV in the settings. I have to unplug the HDMI from the Sonos than plug it back in and the Sonos works again.. What can I do to fix??
When listening to music on the speakers via Amazon HD Music using the S2 app on the desktop to cue a playlist, the tv level slider does not change the volume of the playbar. It moves but nothing happens. The music level slider does alter the volume of the surrounds. I am unclear about this as I thought the tv level slider should control the volume of the playbar. The music level slider does not alter the volume of the playbar. When watching television, the tv level slider works to control the volume of the playbar and surrounds at the same time. Is this how it is meant to work?
Hi, my playbar makes a continuous high pitched noise whenever plugged in. But, if I plug into a socket in a different room in my extension it doesn’t make the noise. But it does everywhere else. None of the rest of my set up is affected. Any ideas of how to solve out there?
I am about to purchase a new Samsung television . My current television has a Playbar and a gen. 1 Sub. connected . All are functioning as expected. My questions is: Should I uninstall these two Sonos devices before I connect them to the new television or is the set-up a simple “plug and play” procedure ?Thank you. Mod Edit: Edited for accuracy - “Playbar” instead of “soundbar”
I was happy and content. My system was a pair of play 1s stereo paired in one room and a zp90 running into my hifi in tv room. Then I got a gen 1 beam second hand. Of course I had to bring the play 1s into the tv room to check out the surround, and yes I enjoyed it. Problem is that the layout of the room prevents me from leaving the surrounds behind the couch, which is okay because I don't need surround often, maybe once a week. So in normal circumstances I would leave the play 1s beside the beam on the tv console. In that case it is pointless to have my hifi/zp90 there as it's just extra boxes. So to the point, I probably will get a sub mini in the future, and I am pretty sure that a sub mini and pair of play 1s would satisfy me music wise but believe that the music/full range option in the a poor substitute for a true 2.1 setup. I think that it's terrible to have all this functionality and yet not have the option to have two user presets for your Sonos HT setup. How hard would it
I’d like to buy an ARC with Sub and two one sl as surround speaker . Is it possible , when desired, move the surround speaker to a different room and use them to play music , while still using the soundbar as a tv speaker ? Also in doing this would it be possible to use the two One sl independently in different rooms with different music ? Thx, E
2015 Sony Bravia 4K tv. Has ARC but not eARC. Latest generation Apple TV 4K only does 2 channel audio to my Sonos Arc. Any way to get 5.1 multichannel Dolby 5.1? I know Atmos is not possible without eARC. I read somewhere that I need to pass through HDMI input on my TV, but my Tv does not allow me to do that. Thanks!
New user here. I bought a Sonos Arc, Sub, Amp and a pair of Sonance Mag8r for our rear surrounds in a Den/Home Theater setup. I now learned that the Mag 8r’s do not work with Trueplay. Am I better off exchanging them for a pair of architectural 6 1/2” speakers and use the 8r’s in the kitchen for stereo speakers. If I did that, I’m guessing it will work off of the amp using a separate zone for the kitchen? Thanks for the help
I had to unplug my play bar for about a week. When I hooked it back up I can stream iTunes but it will not give me tv audio. I check my tv settings and they are set to the Sonos. I have never had problems before. I checked all my connections, they appear secure. When I use the remote the indicator white light comes on the play bar when I volume down but it does not respond when I volume up. The TV volume bar shows the volume up is working, when I switch to tv speakers the TV plays audio correctly. Any ideas?
Sonos Sub is not connecting to my Samsung Frame TV while using 4K Apple TV. I recently bought a 2022 55” Samsung Frame TV for the art mode.On the Samsung One Connect box, I have:4K Apple TV in HDMI 1 Sonos Arc in HDMI 3 (aRC) Using the Samsung Frame TV with the 4K Apple TV - only the Sonos Arc comes on for audio - the Sonos (Gen 3) Sub does not start-up and connect, and I haven’t been able to make the Sub connect manually using the Sonos app. On my previous 55” TCL 4K TV, while using the Apple TV - the Sonos Arc would automatically connect to my Sonos (Gen 3) Sub. Interestingly, now, when I connect to my Sonos system directly from Spotify on my iPhone - both the Arc and the Sub work together seamlessly. How can I get my Sonos Sub to work while using both the Samsung Frame TV and Apple TV?
