So I just got my Arc it is a refurbished unit connected to my Q60T, I am using Audioquest blueberry cables and every so often (typically on Atmos content) the sound will cut out for like 5 seconds and come back. I have reset the tv, unplugged and replugged both the TV and Soundbar and swapped my cables. I have also tested eARC auto and off, digital audio and pass through. seems the dropout is better with eARC off the dropout only happens for a second, but is still noticeable. Anything that can be done to use this Soundbar at its full potential?
I was reading the support article that explains the wireless modes, and I noticed that a surround speaker or Sub should be in WM: 2. In my ‘About My System’ it shows my Sub in WM: 0. I have never seen it in WM: 2 regardless of what is playing (HDMI source vs streaming audio). The Arc also shows WM: 0. Neither Arc nor Sub are hardwired via ethernet, but I do have a Sonos One in the next room that is.Does this indicate that there is an issue or is this normal? I do not currently have surrounds, so it is just the Arc + Sub.Thanks for your help!
I have a beam, sub and One SLs setup as surround in my living room. I recently bought two used Play 1’s and it won’t connect as surround. It recognized them but will not connect toy current setup. How do I get them to pair into my existing surround setup?
Hi, I made the original post below about 4mo ago. I was given the below solution in blue. I tried the solution & it didn’t work. I’ve been looking for the original Sonos HDMI cable, which I can’t find. I came back to this & tried again. I even did a Android software update to see if that would fix this. Nothing seems to work I followed the instructions exactly & the TV recognized the Sonos. My Sonos app, when I did TV Setup, said I was all set & connected to the TV. The Sonos device made a sound, but there simply is not TV audio coming through my Sonos. When i increase volume, the Sonos lights up but teh TV does not show any volume increase. This is so bizarre, because when I purchsed the Sonos & connected to TV 1st time everything worked perfectly & Sonos gave TV sound for about a year. Then just stopped. Nothing I do solves this. Sonos works fine for music on the Sonos speaker network. Can someone PLEASE help. Is this a Sonos problem or Sony problem??Original
I have a Playbar connected via optical to my Sony KD-55XH905.Until recently I used my SkyQ remote to control the sound on my TV but I have cancelled my subscription and have to send back the Sky equipment. This forces me to use the Sony remote but although the TV shows the remote responding (volume bar appears on screen going up/down), the Playbar does not respond.I have gone through troubleshooting in the iOS app but it says it cannot find a response from the remote.Does anyone have any ideas?
When I watch television using internal apps on my Sony A80J, the audio on the Sonos Arc sounds fine. The volume gets loud at 12-16. When I’m watching stuff on my Apple TV 4K, the audio on the Sonos seems to be lower in volume. An example would be when I watch Moon Knight on Disney+ on the ATV4K. I have to put the Sonos volume up to 40 to hear things. Why’s it do this?
I’ve got a Sony X95J and connect my Beam Gen2 via earc. The problem I have is the TV no longer recognizes the beam after I use the beam for non-tv purposes. For example: when the TV is off, I play/stream music (Amazon Music) on the beam. When Im done, I shut the music off. When I turn the TV on to watch TV, only the tv speakers work, and no sound comes from the beam. The only way to get the beam to work again is to unplug the HDMI and power cable from the beam, then replug it back on.Any ideas? this is becoming annoying. I had a decent soundbar prior to this, but wanted a Alexa compaitable device to control my smart devices and play music.
Hi everyone, Does any of you know what could be the reason for the Sub casing to meltdown ? The sub is functional, but I am not sure if any of the internal components are affected. The sub was purchased new 8 months ago, and the warranty is still valid. I really love my SONOS system, and didn’t expect to see this on the case. Thank you in advance
I’ve had my arc only for 2 or 3 years and today is stopped playin tv audio. Nothing changed overnight. I can’t believe it lasted so short a time. I have absolutely no idea how to get it working again. Sonos app says connection issue. Tv no longer shows connection too. and here… to post Sonos wants me to choose a subject… where the hack is that. I see topics, but not subjects. Edit: I guess by subject, it’s really to pick a sub forum?Moderator Note: Replying to yourself first makes it less likely that someone else will reply (topic is no longer “in need of a reply”). And yes, it means sub-forum. I’ve taken care of that for you.
I just bought a new place and want to replace a Yamaha RX-A720 with 2 Sonos AMPS. I have 5 wired speakers for surround sound in the living room and 2 additional zones (1 outside and 1 in Bedroom). How do I set this up for surround sound and multiple zones. Can I stream music through the surround speakers. Thanks for your help.
I understand that the Sonos Sub is currently having bass issue when Trueplay is enabled, can we confirm if this issue is known to be on all setups like a stereo pair of Ones/SL, Play:5s/Fives, with a Sub or just on TV setups in a 5.1 with the current sound bars and also with older units like the Playbase in a 5.1 setup?
I recently bought and set up both a Beam Gen 2 and Sub Mini. The Beam was set up fine and works brilliantly, however having set up the Sub Mini an hour or so later, it connected fine (although both products seemed to have issues with the NFC identification during set up - first time was fine on Sub Mini, but second time had issues). However, the Sub Mini, whilst set up went ok, has the white light on, but doesn’t make any sound (having tried with the TV and by casting music with heavy bass to the Beam).I’ve checked on my Google Wifi app and only the Beam seems to show as connected to the network. This is pretty disappointed after having decided to invest in Sonos over other home cinema systems.
Hi, at our football club, I'm currently extracting audio from hdmi (Digital TV, DVD player and Firestick) and sending to a very loud powered speaker. However, despite the very loud capabilities, the sound doesn't travel well through the club, when there are large groups of people.I need to look at a way to have multiple speakers around the club. So want to take the audio extract (3.5mm headphone connection) and am wondering if I can either a) split it into multiple Sonos Play 5s or b) send to one Sonos Play 5, and then this can be wirelessly shared to the other Play 5s. (I'm thinking of getting 3 X Play 5s).Would a) or b) work, and further, would the split signal be strong enough or would I need to use any amplifier?
New to some of the newer Sonos products, and couldn’t find the answer anywhere. I have an Arc, Sub (gen3), and Amp running two third party ceiling speakers. My question is can I add two Ones as rear speakers and connect them all to the same TV arc source and it works with Dolby Atmos? Arc, Sub, ceiling speakers, and rear Ones? Thanks!
Since I purchased two IKEA symfonisk devices, I have not been able to set the volume of my Sonos Beam Gen 2 correctly. When I had only the Beam, I was able to control the volume in increments of 1, from 0 to X. Now I can only set the volume of the Beam in increments of 5, for example if I manually move the slider in the Sonos Iphone app to 12 it will set itself back down to 10 a second later. If I try 14 it rounds up to 15 and so on - it also does this when using my TV remote 😤This issue occurs when the Beam is playing ungrouped, it doesn’t seem right that I am suffering a significant decline in functionality just because I have two other Sonos devices elsewhere in my place 🙄Any help woud be much appreciated as this issue is extremely irritating!😖

Can I play independently OR merge the TV Sound on Sonos Arc / Sonos Amp for Indoor Ceiling Speaker / Sonos Amp for Outdoor Speaker when I have connected all 3 Sonos product on Wifi Network..?Thanks in advance.
