Hi, I bought the Beam Gen2 shortly after it came out. Ever since it has periodically lost connection to my WiFi for no apparent reason. I can’t get the system to connect again now at all. It’s not right that a premium product like this requires a factory reset every month or so. Has anyone else experienced this and do you have any hints or tips to make the system more stable?
Hi, I'm new to the Sonos home theatre but have long had some play 1s. We recently installed the full surround set, moving an old play 1 away and having one of the surrounds in the same area. We are a ‘switch everything off at the wall’ household. I had assumed that it would be possible to turn on one or both One SL and ask it to play music, without needing to turn on and use the full surround sound system. When I turn on a One SL in isolation it never shows up in the app.Is there a way to make them behave standalone when turned on without the Arc? And when turning the Arc on, having them auto join the arc? Thanks,Jamie
Hi all … I currently have Playbase and 2 Play 1… I’ve never really found this a satisfying set up to replace my old wired 5.1 system. I enjoy music, streaming videos, live terrestrial tv and good old fashioned dvd/blu-rays. I am pondering on replacing the Playbase with a Beam 2 or Arc or just abandoning Sonos all together. Would the Beam with my 2 Play ones give me the immersive sound I’m missing? Does it do that on all sources, just streaming services, just blu-ray etc? thanks!
HelloI have had an issue which I had reported to Sonos support a couple of times. This evening after making a change, I have found the source of the problem.I have a Sonos Arc, Sub and 2 x Sonos 1 surrounds connected to a Samsung QLED TV. Each evening when running any sound source, TV or music it would cut out everyday at EXACTLY 8pm. I cannot for sure say when it started, but it has been happening for a while now.Tried all the all the things support ask you to do; reboot, change wireless channels, submit diagnostics etc. and none of this worked or was conclusive.Today I noticed in the Sonos App that everyday at 8pm Sonos updates my music library which is located on a NAS drive. Therefore I set it to update at 4am and no more cut outs at 8pm! Problem (sort of) solved. If anyone from Sonos support can tell me:Why this happens Why a diagnostics report would not show this (i have submitted them on each support call minutes after it happened).I’ve not seen any other posts with this soluti
I apparently didn't do enough research on these speakers. One Arc SL, two One SLs and a sub. Constantly having issues just simply working. Have had them all for two years and about every three months, I have to re-add them to the system or delete and re-install the app or reset the speakers. No other electronics in my house have these issues with my network. The sound quality is amazing but the constant headaches make this a bad product. My rating is a solid 3/10 and the only positives are the sound quality. The setup, the app and the reliability leave a LOT to be desired. I definitely won't look for Sonos products in the future.
Both my rear home theatre speakers are sonos ones, ie they both have microphones that can be used by alexa. I understand in this situation that alexa will respond only to the right hand speaker. Can I reconfigure this so that alexa will respond to the left speaker? If so, how do I do that? TIA ... Greg
I have a ARC, Sub, two One SL, and just picked up 2 Era 100s. I didn't realize that you can't add more than 2 surrounds when I purchased the Era 100s. The idea was the create 7.1 surround here which I guess is only truly achievable buy purchasing the Era 300s. But the price tag on those is insane for two of them. As a work around I have the SL ones now configured as stereo only and the Era 100s are now my surrounds. I can get the stereo only pair to play along with the setup but it's super annoying to have to use this work around. When will we get an update to enable 4 surround speakers without having to do this work around? If I had known about this earlier I wouldn't have purchased the additional units. They also can't be controlled with the same remote unless you purchase a third party remote to control them at the same time or manage the sound directly through the app. So everything I turn the TV on I have to manually group the additional stereo only speakers to the rest of the sys
I just upgraded from the Beam to the ARC. I'm using the HDMI to optical bc the Sharp TV has no arc-HDMI feature. The TV remove would run the Beam volume just fine, but does not work with the ARC. Yes, I've paired it with the Arc and the TVs internal speakers are set to off as they were with the Beam. The IR/indicator light on the ARC does light up when I press the volumn, but it doesn't change the volumn at all. Any ideas?
If I take my Pioneer VSX-21 Elite Optical output, to the Sonos optical adapter, to arc adapter and plug into the sonos arc soundbar I should be able to switch inputs on my receiver and have that audio stream so i can then pair either a couple of play ones and a sub? Simple question but nobody at Sonos can give an answer.
Hello: A couple of weeks ago I asked about the possibility of adding 2 one sl due to the configuration of my living room and during this time I have been reading several options and I would like to know what you have or what you recommend as best value. I can only one thing and I am considering these 3 alternatives to improve a sonos beam 2 in a living room of about 3,5 x 2,5 mt2 one SL to left (1,5m) and right (1m) of the sofa 2 Symfonisk to left and right of the sofa Sub mini (2 mt in front of me) what would be a good choice as a first system upgrade? 90% of its use would be for TV rather than music. Thank you very muchRegards
So I designed a small cinema in a house I'm working on which is going to have space for an Arc front facing, 4 in wall speakers- two on each side of the cinema room filling 100% of the room and a space for rear speakers, planning on going with Sonos 5’s as rear surrounds or the Era 300s. I’m confused as to how to set them all up. The number of Amps to be used here isn't a problem. Any suggestions? Much appreciated. thank you
Hey Sonos fam!•Just replaced my Sonos Beam with the arc in my surround system (2 ones, arc and a sub), and it sounds great when watching movies, but when playing back music - the arc sounds very soft / low volume.I've switched to ambient, which helped a bit, but i'd rather keep it in full so I don't have to switch every time.Does anyone else have this issue?
I have recently bought a pair of One SL. Trying to connect it to my exisiting Home Theatre system.Current set up for HT is 1 x Playbar, 1 x Sub, 1x Amp.Amp is connected to 2 x in-ceiling speakers as surrounds. When I try to group the new speakers (tried both as Stereo Pair and individually) with the existing HT system, i can not do so.Get error message saying Unable to Connect Device. Try again.. Of note, no issues with internet connection. Have tried by turning off and on (both speakers and router) - but no success. Much appreciate any ideas/ suggestions.
I’m just moving house and I currently have the Arc, Sub Gen3 and 2 x Era 300s set up in a standard rectangle living room with a flat ceiling. Really happy and easy set up….. However my new place has 12ft vaulted ceiling and it’s a big space to fill. Ideally I would like the TV and Arc in position A but I’m also willing to consider B and C as I think it’s not a good placing for Arc. We listen to a lot of music and that’s my main use however I need to have TV and Arc in a decent position. Where should I place each speaker for optium sound? Your thoughts and advice would be really welcome…. Thanks, Chris
Hello, I just purchased the Sonos Arc, Sub and 2 One rears pkg. I was trying to test the system by streaming music via airplay together with my 2 Apple Home Pods and 2 Home Pod minis. When all the speakers are playing together, only 1 of the 2 HomePod and 1 of the 2 HomePod mini plays with the Sonos pkg. Is this normal? Thanks,Eric
My setup is two 5.1 systems and three additional Play 1s. I use a Boost, wired to my router. Everything works as it should. I wonder if I can connect to the internet via the LAN port on the back of my Playbar. This might be a stronger connection for the smart TV in a room where the wifi is not as strong as the rest of the house
I have a Samsung Q90T + Sonos ARC where the sound consistently cuts out while watching shows and movies. TV is up to date as well as Sonos Software. Using an Apple TV 4K. I’ve replaced the HDMI cables. I haven’t been able to get this corrected through Sonos or by searching the web or this community. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I have a playbase, a sub, two One's and two play:1's. They are set up as playbase, sub and two One's in one product, (living room) but I can't add the play:1's unless I put them in their own product group (living room 2 & 3). Once that is done, They will all play sound, but my remote control will not control the play:1's, and I have to use the app, which is not convenient. They are not set up as a speaker pair. Is there anyway around this so my remote control can control all speakers?
Hi All, I connected a new Sonos Sub to the beam in my room and the sync went well until I turned on the sub from my app. The buffer is not playing any music, any idea why? Is it related to a defect on the product or my wifi connection?Any help is greatly appreciated.
