Why is there such an amazing difference in the volume needed to hear the TV compared to listening to music when the TV is off . I listen to music with the volume on about a quarter power but when I switch to TV I have to crank up the volume to just over three quarters. This creates problems in the morning as I settle down with my morning cuppa and without thinking turn on the music after watching the TV the night before.
I'm deafened by noise but far far worse it wakes my wife up which as any husband knows is a fate worse than death. How do I solve this without having to leave notes on my iPad each night ?
