Using sonos soundbar direct to samsung tv, bypass the app.

We have a new home and a few of the samsung tv’s are connnected to Sonos sound bars, which is nice because using the built in tv speaker doesn’t down great due to the cabinets/book cases the tv’s are in.

It appears that the soundbar is connected to the tv via the single serial wire to a one connect box. The sound bar doesn’t have HDMI.  I am using a roku voice remote for the tv but i can only adjust sound via the Sonos app linked to the sound bar. 

Is there a way to bypass the Sonos app and system to just allow me to control the tv’s sound via the roku remote and only have sound come out of the soundbar (not the tv)?

You can use any ‘infrared’ remote that meets the requirements shown in this link:
