Not even out yet, but the Beam is on my radar. I'm new to Sonos and am slowly getting my house moved over.
Although I have ripped pretty much all of my CDs and can play them, I would like to attach my CD changer to the Sonos ecosystem.
I think an optical connection is best. For one thing, the DAC on the CD changer isn't great. It is also a better solution, IMHO for grouping.
I realize this is really meant to be a TV soundbar, but I'd be using it as an audio-only player.
Any thoughts or experience on this set-up? I'm assuming the Beam will work with a CD player.
