troubleshooting sound

Just set up a brand new playbar. Set everything up correctly. And the sound coming from movies is what would be coming from the rear speakers when set up with full surround sound. Meanwhile all we have is just the play bar.

I’d be looking at the audio settings for the TV’s optical output, and the audio settings of any device that is feeding the TV. The Sonos will only play the signal being fed to it, if it’s not Dolby Digital, it won’t work well.

If all that checks out, I would certainly contact Sonos Support directly to discuss it.

I usually suggest the phone folks, they have more tools available because they're on the phone with you, but they are only available Monday through Friday during business hours. Both the Twitter and Facebook support folks are available 24/7.
