Samsung TV and Sonos Arc audio output problems.

Sonos Arc with Samsung QLED TV not working properly. Connected to HDMI-ARC but TV will stop passing audio to Sonos (and TV speaker used instead) after Sonos has had music playing on it. Only fix is to switch power off and then fine until happens again. Any ideas?

Welcome to the Sonos community and thanks for reaching out to us.

I would like to recommend checking the following guide for us to be sure everything is with in Sonos requirements.

  • Supported audio formats for Sonos Home Theater set up.
  • Turn on TV and Watch a movie setting the audio out to the Sonos Arc.
  • Submit a diagnostic so we can check what is going on with the Arc.
  • You may also want to check if there is audio on the Sonos Arc while playing music may it be through airplay 2 or Sonos app.
  • Turn TV off, Unplug HDMI and plug it back making sure it fits snug at the back of the arc and the TV.
  • Try different video source. (satellite cable, In app movie player such as Netflix or Youtube)
