I have two play 1 s I am trying to add back into my surround sound. The speakers have the touch controls on top. (Four dots to the left of the play button and four dots to the right). How do I get them to “join” the surround group?

@Charles6500 Thank you for bringing your question to us here and welcome to the Sonos Community. As John B. mentions, you have Sonos One products that were setup in a surround. Based on connections we can see, one of your Sonos One units is powered off or not connecting to wifi and the 2nd Sonos One is showing up in your Sonos app in the rooms tab as an unused or unnamed One. Please take these steps:

  1. Go in the Sonos app and in the rooms tab give a room name to that one unit as garage, patio, or portable. Just assign it a name.
  2. Check the lights and power connections on the other Sonos One that was in the surround setup. If it shows lights on top, is the light solid or flashing or no light? If no light, it is powered off. If it has a solid light then unplug it for 15 seconds and plug it back in to power. When it goes solid white, re-check the rooms tab again. Do you see the 2nd Sonos One? If yes, then take next step.
  3. Use this link to set your Sonos One units back into a surround setup. Test a stream of music and TV audio when setup is completed.

If your second Sonos One is not re-booting to a solid white light and not showing up in the Sonos app. Please move it to a new outlet and follow up here with the testing results.

Lastly, please provide us an up to date diagnostic report from your Sonos system after completing the above given steps. We’ll need that report number in your reply here as well.

Hi. Play:1s don't have touch controla so maybe they are Sonos Ones? Are they already added to your system?

You probably just need to go into the room settings for your Sonos HT product (eg Playbar) and add surrounds
