If i have a playbar without surround speakers am i better off having the optical out from the TV set to send 5.1 or stero? Will diminished processing in the TV with stero help a very minor latency issue (audio delayed).

Stereo or Dolby Digital should yield the same amount of latency, effectively none. In some TVs, it appears to be the other "added" features that add latency. If you have any audio settings on the TV turned on that would effect the sound, those are the things that add latency. Not much, generally speaking, but they do add a bit.

Anyone? Curious if this will fix a latency issue.
