TV DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THE PLAYBAR ANYMORE. WE TRIED TO HOOK UP A FIRESTICK TO OUR BEDROOM TV WHICH REQUIRED US TO UNPLUG EVERYTHING SINCE THE FIRESTICK REQUIRES POWER. WE HAVE DIRECT TV SO THE MOTHER BOX TO THE DIRECT TV IS IN OUR BEDROOM SO WHEN WE UNPLUGGED THE BOX/TV I N THE BEDROOM IT ALSO DISCONNECTED THE LIVING ROOM TV & THE PLAYBAR. THE PLAYBAR WILL PLAY MUSIC HOWEVER WE HAVE TRIED EVERY THING TO GET THE TV TO RECOGNIZE THE PLAYBAR BUT HAVE HAD NO LUCK. THE FIRESTICK HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED BUT THE PLAYBAR STILL DOES NOT WORK WITH THE TV. IT A SONY TV WE JUST PURCHASED IT THIS PAST SPRING. ANY BODY KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS WE WOULD CERTAINLY APPRECIATE IT

Please do NOT write in all Capital letters - It is very hard to read and it is the internet equivalent of shouting.

As to your issue. There is not such thing as "TV recognising Playbar". The Playbar will ONLY play audio (TV Sound) it receives from the Optical cable attached. So:-

1) Ensure the Optical cable is properly attached to the TV optical out and into the Sonos optical in
2) Then check and review your TV audio settings via your TV menu control to ensure that audio is set to output via the Optical out of the TV

If that still doesn't work ensure that none of the boxes are muted or have volume turned right down (Check in your Sonos app when TV on that the volume is NOT at 0)

Hope this helps
