with new movies on Netflix (i.e. two popes) I get an echo on sound from PlayBrar hooked up to my TV.

You probably need to turn off the speakers on your TV.

The TV speakers are disabled. Only get echo on new movies. Works fine on older movies/series.

That seems odd indeed, then. I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and contact Sonos Support to discuss it.

I usually suggest the phone folks, they have more tools available, and are available Monday through Friday during business hours. Twitter support folks are available 24/7.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

Do you just gave the Playbar playing, or are there other speakers too?

Have you Grouped the playbar with other speakers instead of Pairing them? Grouping will make the audio out of sync, you need to Pair/Bind the surround speakers for them to be in sync.
