Play:1 and Sonos One compatibility for surround sound with Sonos Arc

Hi guys, I have recently purchased a Sonos Beam, I had an existing Sonos 1 and an older Play 1. I would like to set up surround sound with the beam but don’t really need another speaker with Alexa. Can I use a Sonos play 1 (2nd Gen) with my older speaker to achieve this?

Sonos don’t allow One and Play:1 to be mixed as surrounds or a stereo pair as they are sonically different. A third-party app will let you do this.
