No surround AMP + Beam

Hi,

Setup:

  1. Sonos Beam connected to Samsung Q90R TV via either HDMI ARC or optical
  2. Sonos SUB
  3. Sonos AMP with two Sonance in-ceiling speakers

Issue:

Everything works separately as a charm, but when adding the rear Sonance speakers as surround to the Beam...I can not get any sound from the Sonance speakers. In the app I get DD 5.1, WM1 & WM2 as it should be. I cannot even get music from the Sonance speakers with the FULL chosen in the app when I play music via the app

The amp is wired and on the wireless network. It is like 7 metres between the AMP and the Beam. The beam is on the wireless network.

Any ideas?

cheers

You say the Amp is wired? As in wired by Ethernet to the router? If so then WM:1 and WM:2 are not right. Please could you clarify the setup?

Oh that was easy. I pulled out the ethernet cable from the AMP (that cable was outside of the wireless network - but I never saw that as a problem since it the AMP was marked as ”wireless” in the app).

problem solved- many thanks!
