is the Sonos Beam or Playbase compatible with LG 43UD79?

Recently bought this monster of a computer monitor. But the speakers aren’t up to my standards. Not sure if I can connect this to Sonos, I don’t see an optical audio out.

Neither the Beam nor Playbase have an analog input (the monitor has an analog out). A play:5 would work in this situation as it has analog input.

To hook to digital input you would need the source computer to have a digital output to connect to the Sonos (such as toslink out from computer).

Only other option would be an analog to digital converter to output from headphone jack of monitor to Sonos (not really sure though why you would want to hookup that way when digital out of the computer itself would be better).

Hi HelloWorld22

I agree with @Chris. I use the Bose shown in the link with my measly 27inch 4K monitor.🤓
