Is It Possible That I Damaged My PlayBar?

Tonight I was leveling my television and dropped the level onto the top of the PlayBar. It hit the black mesh area that feels like there’s some sort of “cage” protectant underneath.

Here’s picture on showing the level and top of the PlayBar -

Afterwards I noticed the black mesh area was just a tad raised (where it meets the aluminum) and when I pushed down on it, it clicked into place and was level with the aluminum again.

Here’s two pictures showing where I pushed in where the mesh meets the aluminum portion of the PlayBar -

I listed to some music and everything seems fine...just wondering if it’s possible I damaged the speakers underneath or if they’re protected by the “cage” feeling stuff under the black mesh.

Hi there, bignicknicknick. Thanks for taking the time to post and upload photos of your Playbar. Check out this exploded rendering of the Playbar. The top "shell" (that holds the fabric) is a mesh to protect the actual drivers from small mishaps and dings without having too much of an impact on the sound output. If it still sounds good to you, it sounds good to us.

Should that change or you run into any problems, don't hesitate to reach out here. We are happy to get you pointed in the right direction.
