As mentioned above, I am getting about a half second delay between the video and audio. This occurs on Netflix as well as on Xbox One. I can tell there is a delay since the headphones connected to the Xbox controller are ahead of the beam. This is not the case when using the TV speakers. I also have a play:3, a play:1, and the bridge set up. I connected the HDMI cable going from the Sonos beam to the TV's ARC. I have the audio set as Dolby D on the Insignia. ARC is checked in the System>CEC>ARC settings of the TV. The Xbox One has surround sound settings on. DTS Trusound is enabled on the TV and the dialog clarity is medium. I'm seeing that this is a common issue, has anyone found any fixes yet? I will be returning my Sonos Beam if I cannot get it to work in 2 weeks.
I've connnected my Sonos Beam to HDMI ARC, and cable deco and Apple tv to the other HDMI ports. If I turn TV on, and these devices are connected, BEAM is not recognized, because app says there are other devices in HDMI ports. If I unplug them, Beam is recognizd in the app. So, I have to connect them again after Beam is OK. If I turn on TV and only BEAM is connected, there's no problem. But it's very uncomfortable to unplug and plug decoders... My TV is a LG42 - 5800. Is there any solution? Thank you!
Does anyone know if the LG OLED55B8S TV passes 5.1 correctly to the PlayBar for HMDI-connected devices and from the inbuilt apps? I can see posts regarding the more expensive C series LG OLED TVs - they seem to confirm that 5.1 is passed correctly. I'm also aware that LG TVs tend to be good in this regard. Thanks
How to set up sonos to work with the Altibox remot controler. The sound level vIa Sonos and the TV works fine, but I cant adjust the sound level when using Apple TV, Spotify and sonos on the TV remot. Then I have to go into the Sonos app to adjust the sound level
Hello, Can someone help me. I have Samsung TV and a TIVO 6 It can only select external or TV speakers. If I select the external speakers to Playbar and use the TV/TiVo 6 remote, I get annoying from the TV. It is because the TV does not recognise the volume up/ IR signals whilst in TV speaker mode. My solution is - Use the Virgin remote for the TV and TiVo box. Easy - Use my Apple TV leaning remote to control the volume on the Playbar. As I use the Apple TV most of my movies. The problem I have is how can teach the my Apple TV to use the Playbar. When it needs a remote to learn. Or is there some codes I can use. Hope someone can help, or provide me with an alternative solution. Thanks Ray Use my Vi
If anyone is looking to buy these expensive sonos mounts, think twice. I purchased 2 of the playbox mounts. Upon having my amazing electrician install them, my play1 speakers keep hitting the end piece of power cable. the power box that they include is not deep enough. After many videos back and forth to Thenos support, they claim there are "tricks to installing them" ok i said. They sent me pictures of their power outlet and it's different from the ones they included in my shipment. Their power outlet is deeper. i tried to call them 20 times and it always goes to voicemail. I tried to get in contact with the business owner but he refuses to reach out. His secretary is the only one responding after i threatened to do a chargeback. When you watch their installation videos, they make it look so easy LOL. Well it's not. I spent good money to have my electrician install these pieces of crap. I finally got one of them installed after many attempts with a screwdriver to pry the

Hi all: I've got an interesting problem. I have my Beam connected to my (CEC-enabled) Samsung TV via HDMI-ARC. I then have my Apple TV plugged into the TV via HDMI. I got everything to work when switching the Apple TV on with it's remote, which then turns the TV on automatically and enables the Beam. It also works in reverse when turning the TV off with the remote. Secondly, when everything is off and I stream Apple Music from my phone to the Beam (via Airplay 2), the music plays great. Note, the TV is not on when playing music. Now, the problem: after streaming music and wanting to go back and watch Apple TV...the Apple TV remote function described above does not work. Is the Beam somehow switching the TV input (despite it being off) when I stream music since it is plugged into HDMI-ARC? Then the Apple TV doesn't recognize the TV because the TV is on the HDMI-ARC input (the Beam) rather than the Apple TV input (regular HDMI)? Also not having much luck turning the TV on via Alexa.
I am trying out the Sonos beam but wanted to connect my projector to the beam using phono cables... But since there is only a HDMI input I bought an Analog to digital Audio Converter - Goobay (https://www.avxperten.dk/ad-converter/analog-til-digital-audio-converter-goobay.asp) so I could add phono to adapter -> get optical out and use the HDMI to optical adapter that comes in the box. But when I do this I have 1 second of sound, then 1 second of silence and this continues. I wrote the company that sold me the adapter and they suggested that it is because Sonos use an abnormal choice of frequency and thus their adapter did not work. Anyone that could envision a fix so one can get an Analog input into the beam? Anyone know whether Sonos plan to update so the HDMI accept more standard input?
What AVR and initial 3.1 ( 5.1 future upgrade) setup would you recommend for a very large living room that will pair with a 75" 900f. Trying to spend less than $1000-1100. Room is about 650sqf. (18.5 x 38) [Dimensions](https://i.imgur.com/AP0MUSx.png) TV will go on Wall at bottom of photo with sectional facing it Wife doesn't want huge towers and would be open to smaller bookshelfs that can be mounted to left and right. Tried to get her to do the Klipsch 280's that are available for $209 each but got vetoed ☹️ We would mount or sit the center on a 78" low profile console. Any thoughts as only other option is Sonos Soundbar, Sub and Ones as the walls are not wired. Do they make wireless tech for speakers? I can return my Sonos and use the $1500 for other equipment/3.1 wiring
Hi, Is anyone currently using the Sonos Beam with the Sony A1E or AF9 OLED Tv’s? I’m considering the beam to pair with my A1E and I’m wondering how much of an upgrade it is from the TV sound. Also, is it still worth upgrading without adding the sub woofer? Asking also because in the country I live in you can’t return electronics goods once you purchase unless they are faulty. So not something I can buy and test. Thanks in advance.
I am thinking of purchasing an LG C8 (2018 model), and have heard about compatibility issues concerning the compatibility between the LG remote and the Sonos Playbar. Is this correct? Should I not purchase the tv? Or is it all an urban Myth? System I currently use is Sonos Playbar/sub/play ones in a 5:1 surround sound.
After setting up my new Beam using the app, everything appears to be connected ok but there is no Audio. I am connected to the TV (Sharp Aquos LC-60LE6300U) using the Optical Cable adaptor (removed the cap) and everything is set to Dolby Digital. Note the media is being provided by an Apple TV 4K (audio set to Dolby Digital 5.1). Appreciate any help.
Hello, I’m looking to change my now very old Samsung TV to a mid-price 4K and having five Sonos speakers around the house I’d lime to add a Beam too. My concern is the huge amount of issues reported on the Community regarding the Beam. Do any members have this TV and/or any recommendations for a mid-price (
After setting up my Samsung TV (2016) so I cam control my Sonos Playbar with the Samsung One Remote I am not able to control my Samsung Bluray Player anymore. The Bluray player are connected to the TV by HDMI. The Bluray player are placed in a cabin (same place as the connect box) so the remote can't see the player. Normal is that the player use anynet to connect. What can I do - will bluetooth or network help??
I've just upgraded my TV to a JVC LT-43C898 from an old Sony and have two issues (i) the Playbase doesn't recognise the JVC remote and (ii) even if it did there doesn't seem to be a way of turning off the internal speakers on the TV. I have the sound set to AMPLIFIER but the internal speakers are still working.
Hi all New to the forum and recently ordered a Sonos Beam. I’ve got an old Panny S10 Plasma which I haven’t replaced yet. At some stage I will but it’s just so good for movies still. Anyway, has anyone used the Beam with this model? I don’t think it has ARC but not 100% sure. I’ve also read some issues around the sonos and Panasonic tellys. Anyone got any useful info?
So I have the Samsung UN55JU7100 with the Mini-One that acts as my HDMI ports. I recently bought a playbase, sub, and two sonos ones and I am trying to get Dolby to play specifically for my Xbox One and PS4 as that is where I watch bluerays, netflix, hbo, etc. I am currently only able to get PCM as Dolby is grayed out and I cannot select it. Will I need to get an HDMI Switch Audio Extractor Splitter and if so, how do I set that up with the Mini-one going directly to the TV? If I don't need that, any other suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Hi - does anyone know if the Samsung TV version UE40ES7000 is compatible with Sonos Beam Ive connected Beam via the HDMI Arc port and when I switch to this the Beam speaker plays music. However when I try to play my regular TV or Virgin Tivo there is no sound. I switch the Samsung TV to use External speakers and HDMI - CEC is enabled but still no sound. Any help appreciated.
Hi, I've just wall mounted my Playbar and have my Sky Hd box, DVD, bluray etc all in the understairs cupboard which is behind the wall. I've drilled 25mm holes for the cables to go through, but I'm haveing a lot of trouble connecting my optical cable to the playbar and out through the wall because of the bend in the cable required to achieve this. I have tried a 90degree angled optical connector, but the two that I have had have been a terrible connection and one snapped when inserted It also leaves a loop of cable which is visible below the Playbar. Has anyone else managed to come up with a solution to this issue?? Thanks
